We are pleased to share that the President and Vice President of the CA Sri Lanka UK Chapter recently attended a strategic meeting hosted by Chartered Accountants Worldwide (CAW) at the Chartered Accountants Hall in London, bringing together representatives from leading Chartered Accountancy bodies across the globe.

The session focused on presenting CAW’s vision for 2030 while also reflecting on its ongoing strategic direction. It provided an excellent platform for each institute to share their local visions, priorities, and future plans, and to explore how these align with CAW’s long-term global objectives.

The discussions were both insightful and forward-looking, covering opportunities for cross-institution collaboration in the UK, shared professional challenges, and collective initiatives to strengthen the voice and value of the accountancy profession. It was encouraging to see the strong commitment among all participating institutes towards innovation, member engagement, and sustainable professional development.

Representing Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, our UK Chapter President and Vice President returned with fresh ideas, new connections, and collaborative opportunities that will help us further enhance member engagement and deliver meaningful initiatives for our community in the UK.

We look forward to translating these insights into action and sharing exciting developments with our members in the months ahead. Stay tuned!

In moments like these, we stand as one. The CA Sri Lanka UK Chapter is proud to have joined hands with our Institute’s leadership in Sri Lanka to support communities devastated by Cyclone Ditwah.

As the UK Chapter, we are deeply grateful to our members, sponsors and well wishers whose generosity enabled us to contribute to this worthy cause. Our collective support underscores our commitment to national priorities and to the people of Sri Lanka. Let us continue to uplift those affected and rebuild stronger together.

Reaffirming our commitment as a responsible professional body, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) continued to undertake a wide range of initiatives in support of national priorities. As part of these efforts, CA Sri Lanka extended its support to flood relief and recovery initiatives following the widespread devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

On Friday, CA Sri Lanka contributed LKR 10 million to the "Sri Lanka Rebuilding" Fund to support large-scale rehabilitation and reconstruction initiatives.

The cheque was handed over to Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Secretary to the President, by Tishan Subasinghe, President of CA Sri Lanka, in the presence of Anoji De Silva, Vice President; Heshana Kuruppu, Immediate Past President; and Lakmali Priyangika, Chief Executive Officer.
