💔 ANOTHER EMERGENCY… LITTLE PATHOS NEEDS US 💔
This week alone, we have been hit with over £2,000 in veterinary bills, and right now it honestly feels never-ending.
After Leo’s emergency vet visit cost the rescue over £900, we were already struggling to find our feet again. Then this evening, I received another call that absolutely broke my heart.
One of our wonderful foster carers arrived home from work to find sweet little Pathos, one of her foster kittens, with an injured tail. She did exactly the right thing — she took him straight to the vets and called me as soon as she arrived.
Pathos was examined and X-rayed, and sadly the results speak for themselves… 💔
Our beautiful little boy has broken his tail.
He is currently undergoing surgery to amputate the damaged end of his tail, and although we know he is in the best possible hands, it is heartbreaking knowing such a tiny baby is having to go through this. 😢🐾
We also want to make something very clear: sometimes accidents simply happen. There was nothing our foster carer could have reasonably done to predict or prevent this. Kittens are inquisitive, energetic little creatures, and unfortunately injuries can happen even in the most loving and carefully looked-after foster homes.
Our foster carer is absolutely beside herself, so please show her kindness. She loves these babies as though they were her own and did everything right by getting Pathos veterinary treatment immediately. ❤️
Right now, our focus is on our sweet little boy.
Pathos should be spending his days playing, causing kitten mischief and enjoying being loved — not waking up from surgery wondering where the end of his little tail has gone. 😭 He has a road of healing ahead of him, and we will be beside him for every step of it.
But financially, this has hit us incredibly hard.
After Leo, we were already struggling. This latest emergency has put us right back to square one, and sadly our doors must remain closed to new intakes until we can get back on our feet.
And the reality is that we cannot do that without you.
