Went to something brilliant yesterday: an informal AI coffee meetup, hosted by a local author who just wanted to bring together people building with AI (or just curious about it) to swap wins, fails and everything in between.

What struck me most: so many people are vibe coding now. Folks who used to be stuck without a technical cofounder are just... building. A lot of them spent years in corporate and have recently jumped to chase this full time, and watching how far they've gotten on their own is honestly eye opening.

But here's the thing: most of them are building completely alone. They don't know what tools or workflows are working for anyone else. The minute people in the room started sharing what they use day to day, the energy completely shifted.

A monthly coffee catch up is great, but what happens at 3am when you're stuck and need a second pair of eyes? That's why I want to start a WhatsApp group for AI entrepreneurs and builders in and around Hertfordshire. A place to ask questions, share what's working, and find people building the same kind of thing as you.

Long term I'd love to bring in speakers from places like Google, Anthropic and OpenAI to share what they're seeing. For now though, it starts with getting the right people in one place.

This Summer, St Paul's Catholic Church will be launching a brand-new Youth Group for young people aged 13–18.

The group aims to provide a welcoming and supportive space where teenagers can relax, make new friends, have fun, and explore faith in a way that connects with everyday life. Rooted in Catholic values, sessions will cover real-life topics that matter to young people today, including identity, friendships, mental wellbeing, music and culture, social media, and the challenges of growing up in today's world.

Each gathering will include games and activities, open and honest discussions, and opportunities for reflection and prayer. The hope is to help young people discover how faith can be relevant, meaningful, and practical in their daily lives.

Whether already involved in parish life or simply curious to find out more, everyone is warmly welcome.

Visitors to Grundy Park in Cheshunt can now discover more about the park's history, facilities and ongoing transformation through two new information boards, installed behind the main entrance gates and along the pathway leading to the Laura Trott Leisure Centre.

With the fabulous Love Hoddesdon Midsummer Festival now upon us (begins this Sunday!) we are asking every Hoddesdon resident to make a pledge to visit at least one of the great community events that are being put on over the next 15 days.

We have so many local clubs and societies, including in both the arts and sport, taking part, as well as our local entertainment venues, so there is truly something for everyone.

The idea of the festival is to shine a light on all the great groups and venues we are so lucky to have in our town, so this really is the perfect opportunity to discover what Hoddesdon has to offer.
