If you’re a resident of Greenwich Peninsula, you can apply for up to £500 to start or continue a club for your local community.

We’re looking to fund projects that will:
✨ Bring people together
✨ Celebrate diverse interests
✨ Promote skill sharing
✨ Foster inclusivity

So far, the Fund has supported sports, learning groups, arts & crafts, and kids clubs. Could your idea be next?

Another great event on this weekend by one of our Social Connection Fund grantees. This Friday are hosting an open garden.

Greenwich Giving provided a grant earlier this year to support GHP to recruit new volunteers to work on their garden alongside their guests, as well as buying some new plants and gardening equipment. Gardening sessions are a chance for guests and the local community to come together to build connection and friendship.

“I love coming to choir, it’s my me time and I enjoy seeing other people as I don’t see many people in my day to day life. Singing brings out a different happy person in me where I forget all my worries.” Cheryl

The wonderful Carers Social Group Greenwich received a grant from our Social Connection Fund earlier this year to support their choir for carers. This funding means they can keep offering free weekly sessions for people like Cheryl.

We have some brilliant news: Greenwich Giving is relaunching!

We're thrilled to be entering a new chapter, with a new hosting partnership with Funders Together and the continued support of City Bridge Foundation and Royal Borough of Greenwich

Last year, we funded 21 grassroots projects, matched over 40 local charities with pro-bono business support, and engaged more than 200 Greenwich residents in deciding where funding goes in their neighbourhoods. We can't wait to build on all of that.

Meet the changemakers shaping Greenwich's future! 💚

Seven local residents have stepped up to join our first-ever Social Connection Fund residents panel! Our local heroes will get to decide what community projects get funded.

Living here and thus, knowing what the borough needs, and caring about making it better - that's their expertise!

Last week, they came together for their first training session, learning everything about grant-making and how to champion projects that'll strengthen connections across Greenwich.
