Come and join us for a series of Mobility, Strength and Balance exercise classes taking place throughout June.

The exercises combine physical activity to maintain Motor and Non-motor symptoms and improve levels of function and independence, which will help to improve: Mobility, Correct abnormal movement pattern and posture where possible. The class also helps to maximise muscle strength and joint flexibility, improve balance and minimise risks of falls.

Classes will run on the following dates:

Saturday 6th June @ 10am

Tuesday 9th June @ 10am

Tuesday 16th June @ 10am

Saturday 27th June @ 10am

Today is World Parkinson’s Day! The annual global awareness day for Parkinson’s.

Today also marks the 4th anniversary of the Parkinson’s Mental Health Support Hub, launched on World Parkinson’s Day by Parkinson’s Care and Support UK in 2022 to provide much needed therapy to those affected by Parkinson’s.

There are many ways for you go get involved today and throughout Parkinson’s Awareness Month; from fundraising, downloading and sharing our poster to signing up to our free counselling services available with 200 hours of talk therapy available in April 💚

FREE Pain and rigidity relief this Parkinson’s Awareness Month!

Pain is common in Parkinson’s and can stem from muscle rigidity, posture changes, nerve damage or dystonia.

It’s April 1st and the start of Parkinson’s Awareness Month!

We are very pleased to announce the expansion of the Parkinson’s Mental Health Support Hub, with our new Lean on Me counselling service for carers, couples and those facing bereavement.

This new addition comes as we celebrate the 4th year anniversary of The Parkinson’s Mental Health Hub 🎉 and we have 200 hours of counselling available across the UK during the month of April!

Every April, all over the world, we unite to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson’s. This month our theme is Mind over Matter and Parkinson’s Care and Support UK have a range of holistic health offerings to support you mentally and physically:

Our online education session on communicating with confidence in Parkinson’s starts in 45 minutes!

Early education and awareness of what support is available can make a meaningful difference. Up to 80% of people with Parkinson’s may experience changes to swallowing, which can make eating and drinking more difficult (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists). These changes can be uncomfortable, frustrating, or even frightening, and may affect your confidence and independence.

Being aware of swallowing difficulties early and knowing what support is available can make a real difference. That’s why we are offering this live, interactive online education session, delivered by specialist Speech and Language Therapists with experience in Parkinson’s.
