This Sunday, our amazing Parkinson’s UK riders will be taking on the iconic BHF London to Brighton Bike Ride 🚴💙

We’re incredibly proud to share that our team has already raised an outstanding £25,097.48 smashing our original fundraising target! 🎉

Every mile ridden and every pound raised helps support people living with Parkinson’s and funds vital research towards better treatments and a cure.

Parkinson's UK has announced a new partnership with England Athletics, aimed at empowering people affected by Parkinson's to stay active, connected and confident through inclusive running opportunities.

The partnership brings together England Athletics’ nationwide social running programme, RunTogether, with Parkinson’s UK’s specialist knowledge, creating welcoming and supportive physical activity opportunities for people living with Parkinson’s and their carers. National Trust and Forestry England will also be a key part of the partnership, providing safe and welcoming environments for the groups.

We’re delighted that the Parkinson’s UK - A Garden for Every Parkinson’s Journey has won the People’s Choice Award at RHS - Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show.

Thank you and congratulations to our talented garden designer, Arit Anderson, for creating a garden with and for the Parkinson’s community, that shone a light on the complex condition for the world to see.

We’d also like to say thank you to our sponsors, Project Giving Back, for giving us this incredible opportunity. Every 20 minutes, someone is diagnosed with Parkinson’s in the UK. By 2050, the number of people with Parkinson’s worldwide will double to 25 million. Thank you for helping us to share how everyone can help us find the cause, discover a cure and develop better treatments faster.

Good luck to all of our incredible runners taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival and Cape Town Marathon this weekend! 🥳

We are so proud of every single one of you and the dedication you’ve shown in training and fundraising.

Together, Team Parkinson’s UK has raised an amazing £45,000. An incredible achievement that will help support people affected by Parkinson’s. Thank you!

For the Edinburgh Half Marathon and Marathon, we’ll be out cheering you on between miles 10 and 11, so keep an eye out for us and soak up the support as you power through!

We also hope to see you afterwards at the Charity Village so we can celebrate your achievement and congratulate you properly.
