It is with the deepest regret and sadness that we have to announce that FirstLight Trust has ceased trading.

FirstLight Trust has instructed Lucas Ross Limited to assist in placing the charity into liquidation and all enquiries should be directed to 0161 509 5095 or [email protected]

Thank you all for your extraordinary support over the years we operated; there are many thousands of lives which have been touched by the work you enabled us to carry out. 'Thank you' simply does not do your support justice.

Our Great British Bake Off - calling Gosport, Hereford, Hawick and Falkirk; what a fantastic array of wonderful Christmas cheer. Thank you so much for participating and spreading such cheer throughout the community and the veterans. How lucky are they/we to get to sample such fabulous treats. Thank you so much.

The Falkirk hub has been busier than ever for the veteran community. We would like to thank Mark in particular who volunteered his time to decorate and get the hub ready. Mark works for the RSA and FirstLight Trust is their Charity of the Year. With their support, we have created a safe space for the armed forces and emergency service veterans’ community.

We would like to say a massive thank you to Jonathan at Montserrat Events for the donation of £1,865.00 from the D-Day event.

FirstLight Trust National Support Coordinator Sam confirmed that this very generous donation to FirstLight Trust in Gosport has been allocated to 5 local veterans enabling them to receive immediate clinical support. With this support pathway, along with attending the hub daily where the veterans are able to participate in the free activities that FirstLight Trust provides, we are breaking down isolation and loneliness. As Sam says: "This is so these veterans can have the feeling of camaraderie to self-build and to stand tall once again.”

A very special thanks go out today to James, Kevin and Dorinda for their amazing fundraising efforts for FirstLight Trust. All were planning to take part in the Great South Run at the weekend. Then when the race was cancelled last minute the 3 decided to make the best of the situation. James and his son took on the Fun Run, Kevin went on to join GoodWood Circuit 10k and Dorinda walked the course of the cancelled event.

This Thankful Thursday we are truly grateful for the community we have built. The FirstLight Trust for Veterans - Gosport cafe hub won Sliver in Best Allotment 2024 and Bronze in Best High Street Shop Front 2024 in the competition Gosport in Bloom.

Dorinda, FirstLight Trust's CEO, has started training for her first race ever! On 20th October, she'll be taking on the 10 mile course that is the incredible Great South Run.
