Our aim is to raise awareness of a hidden disability: Speech language and communication needs!

We aim to raise awareness of a hidden disability, 'Speech, language and communication needs' (SLCN). Working with speech and language therapists, young people with SLCN and their friends, we have designed services that will assist youth workers, teachers, youth clubs, schools, employers, and other related organisations satisfactorily help young people with SLCN. It is key to identify those with SL

CN at the earliest opportunity, in order to provide adequate resources to assist young people, to gain social and working skills, in order to avoid falling into the category of ‘Not in education, employment or training (NEET). A striking statistic of a failure to address this and a lack of understanding is that '60-90% of young offenders have a form of SLCN*'.
