Our Community Ambassadors play a huge role in bringing our schools and communities closer together.

By building trusted relationships with families, they listen, understand what support is needed and help connect parents with the right services, opportunities and advice in a way that is clear and meaningful.

They also shine a light on the fantastic things happening across our schools, celebrating successes and helping to build pride within our communities.

Working alongside parents, staff and local organisations, our ambassadors help create opportunities, lead initiatives and make sure everyone feels heard, included and connected.

What an incredible day!

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part in the Maritime Marathon today, the positivity, teamwork and determination shown throughout the day was amazing to see.

A special mention to Luke, who was the first to cross the finish line in an incredible time of just under 8 hours!

It was also lovely to see supporters at some of the checkpoints along the route, helping to cheer the team on throughout the day. A big thank you as well to The Kitchen Whitstable who kindly donated after hearing from the support team about the event.

Well done everyone, you were all amazing!

Across all of th Maritime schools, we’re celebrating creativity and self-expression through a series of arts-based community projects that invite children and families to share what makes their community special.

One of these inspiring projects is Ebbsfleet Visions, led by our Community Ambassador Matt at Ebbsfleet Green Primary School.

Take a look at the video to hear about this project.

Every child deserves the best possible start.

At Maritime Children’s Foundation, our Strong Foundations work supports children and families from the earliest stages of life. This includes our early “Time to Play” sessions, which are already making a real impact.

Last week Barnsole Primary School held their first Time to Play session welcoming 18 families, a brilliant turnout and fantastic to see so many families engaging together.

Introducing Mwila, our Head of Programmes and Impact.

Since joining us four months ago, Mwila has been spending time in our schools, listening, learning and seeing first-hand the difference our work is making.

She’s walked corridors where every child is known, valued and supported. She’s met leaders and staff who care deeply about doing the very best for their communities and heard Community Ambassadors speak with pride about what they’ve created simply by listening to parents. She’s also seen children attend our Skills Academy on Saturdays to create, learn and build new skills.

Mwila’s role is to ensure the vision isn’t lost in the day-to-day, bringing structure, clarity and consistency so the impact lasts.
