It was a very special day in the Mark Province of Kent on 27th August 2025 when 38 golfers attended the annual Keith Stoner Memorial Golf Day held at Kings Hill Golf Club, nr West Malling, Kent. Keith was well known to many as the Secretary of Kent Mark Golf Association for many years and Founding Secretary of Fore Cantia Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 2002, the Kent Mark Golf Lodge.
Keith was the owner of Medway Hyundai, now the Stoner Motor Company, which sponsored the golf day, originally titled the Hyundai Classic Charity golf day from 2013, including donating a fine claret jug trophy for the leading golfer, which has now been inscribed in memory of Keith.
The event was organised extremely well by W.Bro. Roy Croucher, assisted by Mrs. Viv Stoner (Keith's widow), W.Bro. Paul Shrubsall MBE, W.Bro. Steve Hyland, W.Bro. Keith Reynolds and W.Bro. Gerry Miller.
The dinner was made all the more special by the attendance of Dean and Paul Stoner (Keith's sons), their wives and Keith's four grandchildren. Prizes were presented by Viv Stoner and R.W.Bro. Archie Torrance, P.Prov.G.M. P.Pres.M.B.F., under whose auspices the Kent Mark Golf Association was created.
R.W.Bro. Peter Williams, Provincial Grand Master and Assistant Grand Master-designate, said: "I and the Mark Province of Kent are very pleased to hear that the Keith Stoner Memorial Golf Day at Kings Hill Golf Club was such a success. Keith was a hugely important member of our province and we are proud of the legacy he left us - not only the Kent Mark Golf Association but also Fore Cantia Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 2002, the Kent Mark Golf Lodge. Well done to all the organisers. The province looks forward to building upon the success of our two recent provincial golf events in the years ahead."
