Yesterday, Circle of Life Ignite was set and is part funded by NBBL to run is beautiful flower arrangements workshop

This is a support group for Women who have lost a child to violent youth crime, come together to share experience in various therapeutic workshops.

One of the participants added:
"My god, absolutely beautiful, what colours and arrangements. Truly heart lifting well done everyone, so creative, amazing!"

To celebrate the success of our research programme 'Cooling Fiveways', hosted our closing event to champion the work of our partners, explore key findings and network to foster further collaboration.

The project, running through what's expected to be London's hottest summer on record, collaborated with Lambeth's voluntary charity sector to deliver on-the-ground research to help our most vulnerable residents combat summer heat.

The work captured residents’ experiences of the recent heat waves, tested key messages around health vulnerabilities, and trialed simple, low-cost cool kits to help keep our residents safe and comfortable.

We were gladly entertained by and her thoughtful poetry as well as .u.v
with her harmonious singing!

A warm thank you to all who supported us throughtout this project and we will continue to use this research to support residents in the years to come!

We’re excited to invite you to the North Brixton Big Local (NBBL) Launch on Stockwell Park Estate! This event celebrates the opening of a new community facility that will host activities designed to support families and young people, including therapy sessions and a homework club.

The event is open to all diverse communities on Stockwell Park Estate and Angell Town residents, with a focus on fostering relationships between families and children. By coming together, we aim to reduce the violent rivalry that has long existed across Brixton Road and create a safer, more united community.

NBBL supported CHIPS Peace to extend the work of two Youth Workers through summer to go out-and-about, interacting with young people to ensure their safety and try to engage them in other youth provisions being supplied locally. They liaised with other outreach providers in the area (such as Lambeth Council and Code 7) and managed to interact with young people to various degrees and referred to youth provisions around the area

15 young people keen on adventure, Tida and the London Youth Rowing team introduced paddleboarding, kayaking, and rowing at the Olympic Park, with two thrilling days at the Regatta Centre.

Mudchute Farm:
This trip was particularly meaningful for those who typically
only see the Centre and their homes. It provided a refreshing change of scenery and an opportunity to engage with nature and animals in a calm, supportive environment.
