For Jarom, SinagHimig began with a simple dream.

A dream to use music to raise funds for the church, to share whatever gifts they had, and to give something back through the one thing that brought people together so naturally: singing.

But somewhere along the way, the dream became so much more.

What started as a small idea became SinagHimig Chorale London, and what began as a group of people coming together to sing slowly became a family.

For Jarom, being the founder and conductor has never been just about leading voices. It has been about getting to know the people behind those voices. Their stories, their struggles, their joys, their faith, and the reasons they continue to show up and sing.

There were rehearsals that felt long, moments of doubt, songs that took time to learn, and days when things did not go as planned. But there were also countless laughs, friendships, celebrations, prayers, and memories that made every moment worth it.

Guided by the teachings of St. Augustine, one thought has always stayed close to the heart of this journey:

“He who sings, prays twice.”

For Jarom, those words capture what SinagHimig is really about.

Every song is more than a performance. Every voice is a prayer. Every rehearsal is a chance to come together. And every time they sing as one, there is a reminder that music can reach places that words sometimes cannot.

Jarom believes that music is for everyone.

You do not have to have the perfect voice. You do not have to be the most experienced singer. You simply need the willingness to share your voice and your heart.

Because sometimes, it is not about how beautifully you sing.

It is about what you bring with you when you sing.

Faith. Gratitude. Hope. Love. And a desire to be part of something bigger than yourself.

Looking back, Jarom may have started SinagHimig with the hope of raising funds for the church, but he received something he never planned for.

A family.

A family made up of different voices, different personalities, different stories, yet somehow able to come together and create one sound.

And perhaps that is the most beautiful part of the journey.

The dream was to give.

But along the way, God gave him a family in return.

SinagHimig is a reminder that music can bring people together, faith can keep them together, and when hearts sing together, even the simplest song can become a prayer.

A highly skilled singer, Kuya Vince has shared his musical gift through his journey, including singing with Koro Ilustrado in the Philippines. His experience, dedication, and love for choral music are truly something special.

Emas Alejandrino | Tenor

We are also very happy to introduce Kuya Emas, one of our newer member and a wonderful addition to the group!

Kuya Emas joined us in February 2026 as a tenor, bringing his voice, energy, and enthusiasm to our growing musical family. Since joining, he has already become an active and valued part of the group, taking part in rehearsals, activities, and performances.

One of the highlights of his journey with us so far was being part of our Stoke-on-Trent tour, where he had the opportunity to sing together with the group and share in a memorable experience. It was wonderful to see him getting involved and becoming more comfortable as part of the team.

Beyond his musical contribution, Kuya Emas is known for being kind, generous, and active. He is someone who is always willing to participate, lend a hand, and be involved. His generous spirit and positive attitude make him a pleasure to have around, and his willingness to contribute adds a great deal of energy to the group.

Although he is still relatively new to us, Kuya Emas has already made his presence felt. We’re grateful for the time, effort, and enthusiasm he brings, and we look forward to seeing him continue to grow with us — both as a singer and as a member of our group.

Eduardo Lopez Jr. | Bass

We are delighted to welcome a new member to our group, Eduardo, who has joined us as our newest bass singer!

Eduardo is someone who brings not only a wonderful voice, but also a kind and patient spirit. He is talented, humble, and easy to work with, and we are very grateful to have him become part of our musical family.

For those who may not know, Eduardo has also had the wonderful opportunity to sing with the Sing Philippines Youth Choir. His experience with the choir has helped shape his musicality and given him a strong foundation as a singer. We are excited to hear more of that talent as he shares his deep bass voice with our group.

Beyond his musical abilities, what makes Eduardo especially wonderful to have around is his character. He is kind, patient, and encouraging, and he brings a calm and positive presence wherever he goes. These qualities make him not just a great addition to our sound, but a great addition to our fellowship and friendship as well.

We’re looking forward to getting to know Eduardo better, singing alongside him, learning from one another, and creating many wonderful musical memories together.

Every choir has voices that are heard, and then there are the beautiful sounds that quietly bring everything together. For SinagHimig Chorale, Justin is one of those special musicians. As our violinist, he adds a layer of warmth, depth, and emotion to every musical moment.

Kind, compassionate, and humble, Justin carries a gentle presence that makes him a joy to have around. His natural musicality shines through in the way he understands and feels music not simply as notes on a page, but as something to be shared and experienced.

With his violin in hand, Justin gives more than music. He shares a piece of himself. Every melody is played with passion, every phrase with care, and every performance with a quiet grace that reflects the person he is.

His humility makes his talent even more admirable. Despite his musical gifts, Justin remains grounded and generous, always willing to share his music and contribute to the harmony of the group. Kate Tolentino | Soprano

🌷 Our darling Kate 🌷

Meet Kate, one of the bright and beautiful voices of SinagHimig Chorale. A soprano who sings not only with a lovely voice, but with her whole heart, Kate brings a special warmth and sincerity to every song she shares.

Young in age but wonderfully mature in heart and spirit, Kate has grown into a natural leader within the group. She carries herself with kindness, gentleness, and a quiet confidence that makes her someone her fellow singers can look up to. Though she may be our baby in the group, her dedication, wisdom, and sense of responsibility often remind us just how much she has grown. 🤍

Kate’s passion for music goes beyond simply singing. She also serves as the conductor of the Carmelites Choir, taking on the responsibility of guiding fellow singers and helping bring their voices together as one. Her ability to lead while remaining gentle and encouraging is truly one of the things that makes her special.

Whether she is singing a soaring soprano line or standing in front of a choir with her conductor’s hands raised, Kate gives her best with sincerity and love. She leads with grace, sings with heart, and reminds us that beautiful music is not only about having a beautiful voice, it is about having something meaningful to say through it.

Our darling Kate may be the youngest among us, but she carries a maturity and passion that inspire everyone around her. We are so proud to have her as part of the SinagHimig family, and we can’t wait to see where her music and leadership take her next.

Vin Rabida | Tenor

🎶 Meet Arvin: one of the newest voices of SinagHimig Chorale! 🎶

Arvin first discovered his love for singing when he joined the Grand Choir for the Independence Day Mass. What began as an opportunity to sing with fellow music lovers eventually led him to SinagHimig, where he decided to continue exploring and developing his voice.

As a beginner tenor, Arvin is excited to learn more about the art of choral singing, strengthen his technique, and gain confidence in his voice. He hopes to improve through every rehearsal, learn from his fellow singers, and discover the unique role that his tenor voice can play in creating beautiful harmonies.

Beyond his voice, Arvin brings a kind and gentle presence to the choir. Though he may still be starting his journey as a singer, his willingness to learn, listen, and grow makes him a wonderful addition to the SinagHimig family.

Every singer has a beginning, and for Arvin, this is just the start of a beautiful musical journey. We look forward to hearing his voice grow stronger, seeing his confidence bloom, and sharing many more songs and memories with him along the way.

MASS OF SAN LORENZO RUIZ | First Anniversary of Book launching

LONDON | DUBAI | ROME | MILAN | ESSEX | MIDLANDS | MANILA

This year marks the first anniversary of our book, The Mass of San Lorenzo Ruiz, a special work dedicated to Filipino migrants and their journey of faith, hope, sacrifice, and resilience.

The Mass was composed by Mr Nikko Oliver Villanueva and was commissioned by the SinagHimig Chorale London as a way of honouring the Filipino migrant community and celebrating the enduring faith that continues to bring us together, even when we are far from home.

Since its first presentation, The Mass of San Lorenzo Ruiz has become more than just a musical work. It has become a reflection of the experiences of many Filipinos living away from their homeland, carrying with them their traditions, faith, memories, and dreams while building a new life in another country.

As we celebrate its first anniversary, we are grateful to everyone who helped bring this meaningful project to life, from the composer and the members of SinagHimig Chorale London to all those who supported, performed, listened to, and shared in this work.

May The Mass of San Lorenzo Ruiz continue to remind us of our roots, strengthen our faith, and bring the Filipino community together wherever we may be. Most of all, may it continue to honour the life and legacy of San Lorenzo Ruiz, our first Filipino saint and a symbol of courage, faith, and steadfastness for Filipinos around the world.
