Help Iโ€™ve been stuck in a reading slump for the past month!!! So this is my advice for getting your reading spark back - it might seem like really obvious stuff but sometimes I just need to be told to stop doomscrolling and pick my book up ๐Ÿคฃ

Iโ€™m going to take some of my own advice and read something easy and not too complicated to get myself back in a better headspace!

Obvs donโ€™t force yourself to do anything if you canโ€™t be bothered, this is more for the people who are (like me) thinking AHHH why canโ€™t I focus right now !! ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“–

Let me know any book recommendations for getting out of a reading slump. :)

Bonjour! I thought it would be fun to bring to life some of the iconic spots mentioned in Almost Life, our book of the month for May!!

From the bookshops of London, to the museums of Paris and the beaches of Norfolk, Almost Life takes us on a journey in so many ways. ๐Ÿฅฐ

I have only been to Paris twice (4 times if you count Disneyland lol), and I loved it so, so much. Reading this book made me want to go back and sit and read in a park in the sunshine.

Here are some of those places, and the times they are mentioned in the book (I've only mentioned the ones that won't give away spoilers haha). Pls forgive me if I've made any boo boos but I did run this past my French friend ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜…

Let me know in the comments if youโ€™re enjoying Almost Life! ๐Ÿ“–

oh I LOVED this book so so much and I think everyone else will too. This is a love story that had me genuinely hooked from the very start

we meet Erica and Laure (forgive me for asking Alexa the best French pronunciation lol), on the steps of Sacrรฉ-Cล“ur on a hot day in Paris, and this chance encounter defines their whole life. The writing is brilliant and you canโ€™t help but fall in love with all of the characters, despite their many flaws, and go on a whole journey with them

This is the perfect book for the summer โ˜€๏ธ that will have you day dreaming about wondering along the streets of Paris and the beaches of Norfolk while questioning every tiny decision you have ever made ๐Ÿ’ญ

This is our book club book of the month and we will be interviewing at the end of our monthly catch up time :)

The book is available from all good bookshops but thereโ€™s a link in our bio to get a copy! I believe itโ€™s on offer for e-readers too if thatโ€™s where you read your books but pls double check โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿ“˜

these are some of my fave bookish spots in Spitalfields / Brick Lane and the surrounding areas !! ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ’š

I bloody love East London and all the indie shops and coffee shops and especially the bookshops. I had some time in Spitalfields last week so decided to film some of my go-to spots for your next visit ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ“ Main Character Books (in the Spitalfields Market building / area thing) - one of the romance and romantasy lovers and you can sit and have a coffee and food and a read. 10/10 vibes all around

๐Ÿ“ Earl of East for cool home aesthetics and candles and coffee table books and general COOL vibes - also one of my fave coffee places is next door (% Arabica, but itโ€™s always jam packed so maybe not the best for reading lol)

๐Ÿ“Liberia - even if you just wander in for a visit itโ€™s beautiful

๐Ÿ“ Brick Lane Bookshop - I love it here and remember first moving to London and visiting and still have a postcard in my old journal from here. Special memories :)

๐Ÿ“ Good Hood - on the same road as Liberia, very cool shop for fashion, books, home stuff. my theory is that if you like books, you probs like all of those things too lol

๐Ÿ“ Kahaila - lovely coffee shop and lots of room out the back to sit and read. Gr8 cake

๐Ÿ“The Common Press - a q***r bookshop and cafรฉ with such a really sick curated collection of books, lovely friendly vibes inside. Situated at the very end of Brick Lane if this is helpful for planning.

Let me know if this is helpful and where you would like me to head to next!!!! Especially outside of London for a day out. Iโ€™m enjoying doing these :)
