CFT aims to promote links between Turkey, British Turks and the Conservative Party

Conservative Friends of Turkey (CFT) is a group associated with the British Conservative Party. Its fundamental objective is given as promoting links between Turkey and the Conservative Party at all levels, by working with local and national party organisations, business groups and academia. Other aims include fostering enhanced bilateral trade relationships and increasing awareness of the Conserv

ative Party within the Turkish-speaking communities in the UK. The group also highlights Turkey’s importance as an ally of the UK. CFT lists the following activities to achieve these aims: by providing information on Turkey through regular briefings and newsletters, by organising meetings and events, and by arranging British parliamentary delegations to Turkey.

Huge congratulations to our 6 Conservative Councillors who represent the British Turkish community.

Our mission at Conservative Friends of Turkey is to strengthen links between the Conservative Party and our community, and help those interested in participating in local or national politics and serving their local communities.

For too long, the Labour Party have taken the British Turkish community for granted. Many first and second generation British Turks share the Conservative Party’s values: individual liberty, free enterprise, aspiration, and personal responsibility. Our community is made up of entrepreneurs, SME owners, investors, engineers, academics, doctors, public sector workers, and many more talented people who are proud to call Britain home.
