Some news we are very glad to share.

Sabrina K Kumar has been appointed to the magistracy by the Judicial Appointments Commission, and she will take her oath in the coming months.

It is one of the oldest offices in English public life, an office that ordinary members of the community hold on behalf of the community they come from, unpaid, and given only to people whose judgement can be trusted with other people's lives.

Those of you who know Sabrina will not be surprised in the least. You have watched her build a business, chair a board, lead within the private and public sectors and sit on the difficult side of hard conversations and keep her head while she did it. The qualities the bench looks for are the ones she has been practising for years in rooms that came with no ceremony at all.

Congratulations, Sabrina. We are glad to have you in this community, and we will be watching for the photograph on oath day. 🤍

We wanted to take a moment to share some exciting news with our wonderful community.

After an incredible period of growth and rebuilding, we are moving into an exciting new chapter for the Women's Business Club. Mel Arnold has decided to step back from her roles as CEO and Director of Elevate Women Limited, and the board will now lead WBC collectively.

From the very beginning, the Women's Business Club has been a team effort. A group of women, each with full professional lives, businesses, and commitments of their own, who chose to give their time, knowledge, and energy to building something they believed in. The new website, the masterclasses, the mentoring programme, the Ambassador network, the partnerships, all of it has been built together, and that collaborative spirit is at the heart of everything WBC is.

That spirit does not change. Our events, masterclasses, and programmes continue as planned, and you will notice no interruption to the things you value.

We are genuinely excited about what comes next. WBC is in a strong position; our community is growing, and the foundations are solid. The best is very much yet to come.
