Road to 100 🚕💦 | 99 years young next year!
Does anyone remember this? Every year, when our cabs left the seaside at Southend, the fire brigade set up their engine and blasted us with their hoses on the way home. The kids screamed with excitement! 😂
We turn 99 next year, and we're counting down to our centenary by sharing old photos and videos from our archive. Look out for a new post every Friday.
Were you there? Tell us your memories in the comments! 👇

For almost 100 years, the London Taxi Drivers' Charity for Children has been creating lasting memories and unforgettable experiences for children who need them most.
As we look ahead to our centenary in 2028, we're proud to celebrate the incredible people and moments that have shaped our charity's story.

A massive LTCFC thank you to some fantastic supporters who made the start of our 98th annual outing so smooth and special! 🚕🌟
First up, a huge shout-out to the Met Police officers who joined us at Asda. They were absolutely brilliant at the start of our journey, making sure our massive convoy made its exit safely and smoothly onto the road. As you can see, Roger even managed to grab a great photo with one of London's finest before we moved off! 🚨👮‍♂️
We also want to say a massive, heartfelt thank you to Peter and Roger from The Worshipful Company of Tin Plate Workers alias Wire Workers. These two are absolute legends who come down to the start of all our yearly outings to get stuck in. From handing out the drivers' posters and info packs to distributing water bottles and Louie toys—whatever needs doing, they are right there helping with it all before waving off the convoy as we head out.
Having the hands-on support and backing of such a historic livery company means the world to our charity, our drivers, and the team working hard behind the scenes. You are all absolute stars and truly worth your weight in gold! 🛠️✨

We are incredibly grateful for your ongoing support—you're a legendary team! 💛
