In Cornwall, locals have helped put the centre back together, arriving with cleaning materials and sand to soak up oil on the grounds.

Others, he said, have gifted flowers in support. He added: "All walks of life, our neighbours, have been coming in and trying to help us clean." The centre posted a message to locals on its social media profiles this week thanking everyone who "stood with us" during the difficult time.

A far-right extremist who called for the racist murder of migrants “when they arrive on their boats” has received a prison sentence of over five years for terrorism offences.

Ivan Jennings, a 46-year-old warehouse worker and former local councillor from Stafford, whom the judge described as possessing “deeply held abhorrent and racist views”, belonged to at least seven extremist far-right Telegram channels.

It was within these extremist racist channels that Jennings discussed procuring the “most poisonous” mushrooms to put in the food of Muslim and Jewish communities.

One possible target for a far-right terror attack was those celebrating Pakistan’s Independence Day in Manchester, the court heard.

CHARGED: Illia Bilyk, 21, has been charged with five counts of racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage following a spate of graffiti which targeted Muslim organisations and mosques in East London in January 2025.

He will appear in court tomorrow.
