We're proud to help staff at UCLH - University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to maximise their potential, by supporting learning at every stage đź’ś

"We are incredibly grateful for their generous contribution in providing a brand-new TV and TV stand for our T14 teaching room.

This vital equipment will be instrumental in delivering high-quality educational sessions and enhancing the learning environment for our dedicated teams.

How this new equipment enhances our training:

* Facilitates clear, interactive presentations and clinical case studies.

* Allows for seamless multimedia sharing during specialised educational programmes.

* Creates a highly engaging space for collaborative, multidisciplinary learning.

The Wider Impact:

This fantastic setup is a shared resource that bridges multiple departments. It will directly benefit over 200 staff members and visiting professionals who regularly utilise the T14 teaching space. By investing in our educational infrastructure, the Cancer Fund is helping us ensure that our teams remain at the absolute forefront of their respective fields.

Thank you for empowering our staff and for your continuous support of our commitment to professional development!"

How does providing funding for staff to attend conferences help make care better at UCLH - University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust?

Gabriel Tang, Senior Specialist Rotational Occupational therapist, explains:

"I was pleased to have the opportunity to present my project at a conference, where I shared key outcomes from the work. This provided a valuable platform to engage with other proton beam therapy centres and multidisciplinary practitioners. Through these discussions, I was able to build professional networks, exchange insights, and contribute to the sharing of best practice across services. The project outcomes supported meaningful conversations around clinical approaches, service development, and the evolving role of OT within this specialist field.

Presenting this project has strengthened my clinical practice. It has supported a greater emphasis on child-led, play-based interventions, family-centred goal setting, and more structured approaches to routine building. Through networking and shared learning, I have also developed my input around early fatigue management and sleep, while contributing to service development by supporting colleagues and strengthening links with schools."

"Earlier this year over 150 cancer professionals from across UCLH - University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust came together for a thought-provoking day showcasing digital innovation and collaboration, generously co-funded by UCLH Cancer Fund.

The theme for this year’s event, “Transforming Cancer Care at UCLH: Innovation in the Context of the NHS 10‑Year Plan”, set the tone for a day filled with strategic insight, inspiring discussion, and ground-breaking developments shaping the future of cancer care.

Attendees spanning clinical, academic, operational, and digital disciplines explored how UCLH is advancing personalised, data‑driven cancer care through innovation and collaboration in the context of the NHS 10 Year plan.

The day reinforced UCLH’s position as a leader in digital innovation and its commitment to delivering world‑class, personalised cancer care aligned with national priorities. A huge thank you to all speakers, contributors, and attendees for helping drive the future of cancer care."

One of our brand new chemotherapy chairs, in place on the Teenage and Young Adult outpatient ward at UCLH - University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Feeling comfortable during dialysis and chemotherapy treatment can make all the difference for patients as they go through treatment, which can last hours at a time, multiple days a week

Donations to the Cancer Fund help us to ensure that treatment can be delivered safely, effectively, and comfortably - above and beyond NHS provision
