Today’s reading is Proverbs Chapter 28

Proverbs 28:23
He that rebukes a man afterwards shall find more favor than he that flatters with the tongue

Proverbs 28:23 highlights the value of a loving rebuke over insincere praise. While flattery provides temporary comfort to one’s pride, a loving rebuke earns deeper respect and appreciation once we are able to recognise its positive impact on our character. While the correction may sting in the moment, it yields long-term benefits and earns lasting favor. Love corrects, the fruit reflects ❤️

Join us on this journey of learning the Hebrew Aleph-Bet and the incredible powerful meanings of each letter that connect us to the Most High and the Messiah.

Aleph is the first number of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet and it’s numberical value is equal to 1. Aleph means Strength, First, Beginning, Power and Leadership. The original pictograph is an image of an Ox. The modern hebrew letter Aleph comprises of two Yod’s connected by one WaW. The gematria of these letters equals to 26, which is also equivalent to the numerical value of YHWH (Yod, Hey, WaW, Hey = 26). This demonstrates that the letter Aleph is a symbol of Yahowah Elohim who is the creator of the Universe.

Aleph is a silent letter, and everything begins from it. This can be likened to how Yahowah Elohim created the earth and all things in it, because he made manifest the things in the physical that were not yet seen in the spiritual. The numerical value of 1 also signifies the firstborn over all creation which is the Messiah, Yahushua Hamashia (Colossians 1:15)

Lastly, the words Aleph and Aluf are connected since they share the same root word (Aleph-Lamed-Peh) which means to Teach. Because of this shared root, the word Aluf means Chief and Leader, who guides and teaches, as well as close companion and Friend.

Scripture highlight :

Proverbs 25:28. A man who has no control over his spirit is like a broken-down city without a wall

Pray for strength to walk in the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustworthiness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such there is no Torah. (Galatians 5:22–23). When we have no self-control, we allow the flesh to rule. He who sows to his own flesh shall reap corruption from the flesh, but he who sows to the spirit shall reap everlasting life from the Spirit (Galatians 6:8)
