Earlier today, our members from Southeast area attended a powerful workshop on Deaf spaces led by Dawn, as part of the ‘Deaf People are Here’ project funded by Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust.

It was a session filled with honest conversations, reflection, and inspiration about the history of Deaf clubs and the culture. 🤩

Through interactive discussions and thought-provoking activities, members explored the importance of protecting Deaf clubs and community spaces for future generations.

Thank you to Reading Deaf Centre for hosting BDA to deliver the session to the community members. 😁

What a fabulous turnout at Torbay Deaf Club! 🤩🤩

It was fantastic for members to meet with several organisations and connect with the community. Kiran was delighted to welcome many visitors to the BDA stall with several members signing up for membership in the day. 🙌🏻

Kiran also had the opportunity to share information about our upcoming AGA which will take place in Plymouth.

It was wonderful to see local MP Stephen Darling attend and show his support for the Deaf community and local organisations!

BDA is looking forward to seeing many members again soon!
