๐Ÿšช The Big Door Knock starts soon!

From 29 July, weโ€™ll be knocking on doors to listen, learn, and connect directly with residents about what matters most - repairs, anti-social behaviour, communication, and more.

๐Ÿ‘‹ First stop: Ocean Estate
๐Ÿ“ Shandy Park, Harford Street, E1 4QJ
๐Ÿ•‘ Tuesday 29 July, 2โ€“5pm

Council officers will carry council ID and ask a few quick questions. If we knock and you feel comfortable, please take part - your views help us improve local services.

๐ŸŽ‰ Plus, thereโ€™ll be a community fun day at Shandy Park from 2.30โ€“6.30pm, with free activities for children, stalls, and a chance to meet council teams who help look after your estate.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

Victims of persistent antisocial behaviour can request a case review.

A case review isnโ€™t a way to report ASB, but to review how the complaints have been dealt with.

It gives victims of repeated antisocial behaviour, which has been reported to the main responsible agencies (eg. the council, police, housing provider), the right to request a multi-agency case review.

How a case review is carried out is set locally, a case review used to be known as a community trigger.

Successful Community Safety Drop-In!
At Cadlers Wharf, Island Gardens on 11/07/2025.

Great to see the community come together to learn about MET Engage โ€” a new platform connecting residents directly with their local police teams and neighbourhood teams.

With MET Engage, you can:

๐Ÿ”น Meet your local officers
๐Ÿ”น Help shape policing in your area
๐Ÿ”น Get real-time info, advice & support
๐Ÿ”น Raise the issues that matter most to YOU

A heartfelt thanks to our dedicated ASB officers for their continued hard work in supporting residents and addressing anti-social behaviour in our community.

Grateful to have Deputy Mayor Cllr Maium Talukdar, Respected Brother Akbar Hussain, Brother Md Saifur Rahman and our local respected Friday prayer residents for engaging.

Letโ€™s keep working together for a safer Tower Hamlets.

Antisocial behaviour doesn't tend to grab headlines that other types of activity and criminal behaviour does. But if you've been the victim of it, you'll know what an enormous impact it can have, day in, day out.

Neighbourhood Watch members consistently report ASB as one of their most serious concerns. That's why we are supporting RESOLVE ASB's Antisocial Behaviour Awareness week.

The theme this year is 'Making Communities Safer', and there are four main asks:
1. Guaranteed support for victims of ASB.
2. Resolve delays in the Justice System.
3. One single, national Information Sharing Agreement.
4. Make it easier to report ASB.

As Loneliness Awareness Week draws to a close, our head of membership and community engagement, Cheryl Spruce, has blogged about the links between isolation and crime. Connecting people can reduce the risk of crime, and it's particularly important in protecting vulnerable young and older people.
