Huge thanks to everyone involved in organising and supporting the recent family fun day at the Malt Shovel in Great Barr.

We've just heard the event raised an amazing Β£877 which is being split between the NSPCC and SANDS.

Thanks everyone!

Some useful advice here on when it's safe and appropriate for young people to be left home alone during the summer holidays.

There's a lot more information on the NSPCC website too, and you can contact the NSPCC Helpline if you have any questions or have any concerns about a child's safety or wellbeing.

With the long summer holidays now stretching on, many parents are facing the annual juggling act of balancing work with childcare.

Our colleagues in the North East have written about the history of Childline which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.

It's a good reminder that although the world has changed a lot since then, Childline's mission to protect children across the UK remains the same.

Although the world has changed in the forty years since Childline was set up by Dame Esther Rantzen, and even in the 20 years since it became part of the NSPCC, the charity’s mission remains unchanged – to protect and support children.

🌈We were proud to be at Nottingham Pride this weekend, showing that the NSPCC is here for all young people, including those in the LGBTQ+ community.

Thanks to the generous support of our partner Lidl GB, we were able to attend and celebrate alongside so many wonderful people. It was a joyful day and so much fun!

Children and young people are reaching out to Childline to talk to about their concerns and questions about gender and sexuality. Last year alone, our trained counsellors delivered over 3,000 counselling sessions on the topic

Tonight, England will play their final match in this year's World Cup, but this week saw the Solihull Moors once again take on Birmingham City in the Arthur Cup.
The Arthur Cup is far more than a football match. It is an opportunity for our community to come together in memory of
Arthur and to reaffirm a simple but powerful message: every child deserves to grow up safe, loved and protected.
We're so grateful to everyone who supported the event, because every ticket purchased, every raffle ticket sold and every conversation started helps make a difference.
