Today, we gathered as mothers with our babies, with our voices, with our grief and we sang for Gaza. We sang for the babies who will not wake up tomorrow unless something changes. We sang because silence is not an option. We sang because motherhood means action. And we will keep singing until the world listens.⁣

The best doulas in the world!!

Lina will now always be a firm part of our family, having guided and supported us with such compassion, care and love in bringing our baby girl into this world. We planned a home birth and laboured at home for several days, before an emergency c section.

We wouldn’t have been able to stay at home and laboured for as long as we did, enjoying our own space, if it wasn’t for Lina and Aimee. The dual support of the two doulas is a fantastic approach and we wouldn’t have a baby again without Lina by our side.

We opted for an additional ceremony prior to our baby’s birth which was a beautiful bonding experience. The closing of the bones ceremony was also an incredibly powerful way to honour such a momentous shift in our lives, as well as honouring the pregnancy and birth.

We felt so calm and supported through an emergency c section because of the support provided by Aimee and Lina. Lina in particular was with us in the hospital and helped guide us through what would have been an intimidating and scary scenario had she not been there.

She was so supportive and ensured my epidural was topped up so that I could get some very much needed sleep. When we were told that we needed an emergency c section I was so pleased to have Lina there to discuss our options with her. I have so much trust in her it helped make tricky decisions much easier.

We will continue to have Lina in our daughter’s life through additional childcare in the future. She’ll be a great influence and guide to our baby girl.
