🚴‍♂️ 600+ miles completed. Over £6,000 raised. An incredible achievement. 💙
Yesterday, the Abingdon Extreme Fundraisers returned to Abingdon Market Square after completing their epic journey to Dunkirk and back in support of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.
Over six days, the team cycled more than 600 miles through England and France, visiting significant sites including Sir Winston Churchill's grave, Dunkirk, Dieppe and Pegasus Bridge. Their challenge honoured those who served during the Second World War and all those who continue to serve today.
Despite injuries, exhaustion and the physical demands of such a monumental ride, the team showed extraordinary determination and resilience to reach the finish line.
Thanks to their efforts, they have already raised more than ÂŁ6,000 for SSAFA, with donations still coming in. Every pound raised will help SSAFA continue supporting serving personnel, veterans and their families when they need us most.
A huge thank you to the riders, their support team, everyone who donated, cheered them on, shared their journey and helped make this challenge such a success.
Congratulations to the entire team – what an incredible achievement! 👏
