The Hot Choc Mob Homeless Volunteer Group

Welcome to The Hot Choc Mob! We're a friendly group of volunteers who meet regularly to engage with the homeless community on the streets of London.

We’re a friendly group of London-based volunteers dedicated to providing a little warmth in the lives of people whose daily existence can be a struggle. Our mission is to engage with rough sleepers and other vulnerable members of society, sharing hot drinks, food, clothing, and friendly conversation. Our main objective is to create a little warmth in the lives of people whose daily existence can be a struggle. We seek to approach all those we meet with an open-minded spirit of empathy and solidarity, and are not affiliated with any charity or religious ideology. We believe that volunteering should be a powerful and meaningful experience. If you'd like to join us, you'll be making a tangible difference for others, and also be joining a welcoming and supportive community where you can forge genuine connections and friendships. Many of our volunteers find a deeper sense of purpose and connectedness that truly enhances their quality of life. On our outings, you'll join a small group led by an experienced walk leader. We promise a warm welcome, clear guidance, and a chance to feel prepared and comfortable from the moment you start. It’s a great way to build camaraderie and new friendships. It is not necessary to bring anything along, but if you'd like to contribute, we especially appreciate water or juice, soft fruit, tinned sardines, new socks, boxer shorts, and t-shirts. If you'd like to help out but can't make our outings, we also have a curated Amazon Wishlist where you can contribute the items we need most. The Hot Choc Mob Amazon Wishlist - bit.ly/hotchocmoblist
