We were never meant to do life alone.
For millennia, humans lived and evolved within collaborative communities — rooted in care, connection, and mutual support.

But somewhere along the way, we were taught that strength means self-sufficiency. That healing is a solo journey. That we should figure it all out on our own. That asking for help is a weakness.

And yet... the loneliness is loud. The burnout is real.
Many of us are quietly wondering:
Isn’t there another way?
There is.

And it begins with remembering how to lean on one another again.
With creating spaces where being human is welcomed, not judged.

If you’re feeling the pull towards a different way of being together in this world, this is your invitation.

For decades, we’ve looked to science and politics to solve the crises that humanity is facing. But neither seem to address the tendencies of selfishness, greed, and apathy that lie at the core of these crises. These aren’t just personal traits—they are reinforced by systems that promote division and polarisation. Individualistic systems that encourage comparison over collaboration.
The challenges we face demand a shift— from apathy to connection, from greed to cooperation. Real change happens when people come together, align their values and create cultures of care.
When we cultivate real connection—with ourselves, with others, and the world around us—we awaken the capacity for care that fuels action.
The transformation that these times are calling for isn’t just scientific or political—it’s relational. And community is where this transformation begins.

How many times have you felt completely alone in a crowded room?

When I moved to London on my own in my twenties, I felt this often. I vividly remember walking through the city streets, surrounded by people, yet feeling completely invisible—alone, disconnected.

It’s never been about how many people are around you.
It’s about the quality and depth of your relationships and interactions.
It’s about the intentionality behind the spaces we build.

Start your community-building practice with us.

We hear the word “community” everywhere these days. But what does it actually mean?
For us, it’s about creating spaces where people don’t just exist together—they grow together. Where we move from comparing and competing with each other to supporting each other.
Community isn’t just something you have—it’s something you learn.
Like any skill, it takes intention, practice, and patience. But the more we build it, the more we create the kind of world we actually want to live in.

Join our community workshops (women’s edition) in Bermondsey, London 🇬🇧
Next dates 22nd February and 15th March. Link to bookings in bio!

Our community-building workshops are a chance to explore the true meaning of community and how to cultivate it in our lives 🌍

It’s a space to reflect together while practicing how to connect with others more meaningfully and mindfully. A moment to pause, relax, and engage in nourishing, insightful conversations. A chance to rediscover what it means to be human—together.

We’d love to welcome you to our next session on February 22nd! These workshops are usually held monthly, with the next one on March 15th.

See you very soon!
And feel free to reach out with any questions 🙏🏼 xx

At Held, we create spaces where deep human connection is nurtured through authenticity, collaboration, and respect for the complexity of everyone’s life experience.
~
Let’s face it—being human is a pretty intense experience.
We experience an endless spectrum of feelings and emotions, yet society gives us few spaces to process them in a healthy and balanced way. In today’s society, many of us feel profoundly alone, even when surrounded by people.
The loneliness and mental health crises of our time aren’t just personal struggles.
~
They stem from a deeper issue — lack of real, nourishing human connection. Lack of real community.
But community isn’t just a group of people that we find— it’s something we build.
~
Community is a skill.
~
It requires practice, intention, and care. Held in Community aims to explore what true community means and to help you cultivate the skills to create it in your life.
Our workshops aim to be a safe container for you to feel connected, seen and inspired.
~
A space to rediscover our shared humanity. If you resonate with Held’s vision, we’d love to see you at our next community building workshop in London.

👋🏼 Welcome to this space!
I’m Fran, a mental health & life coach, mindfulness practitioner, and founder of Held in Community.
I’m based in London 🇬🇧 and you’ll also find me working as a wellbeing coordinator supporting NHS patients in overcoming isolation and improving their mental health.
~
Over the last eight years, I’ve had the privilege of holding space and listening to the life stories of over a thousand people through my work. With each story, it became clearer that we are all more alike than we realise—there’s so much that connects us and so little that separates us.
~
Yet, we often find ourselves lost in systems that promote division, comparison, and competition. In this context, I see the current mental health and loneliness crises as natural symptoms of a fragmented society that’s forgotten that community, mutual care, and collaboration are part of our DNA 🧬
~
So many of us are craving a more meaningful life—one where we feel deeply connected to ourselves, to others, and to life at large. A life where we are reminded of our interconnectedness with all things.
~
This is exactly my aim with Held in Community: to create spaces that remind you that you are always a part of the whole🌍
No matter how lonely or disconnected you may feel.
~
I hope you find value in this space, and I’d love to meet you at one of our workshops in London soon (check the link in bio!).

Much love,

Fran x
