Petplan Charitable Trust UK

Petplan Charitable Trust UK Founded in 1994, the Petplan Charitable Trust (PCCT) has a simple mission to promote the health and welfare of animals in the UK and beyond.

Set up in 1994, Petplan Charitable Trust aims to promote the health and welfare of the nation’s animals, and awards funding to a host of well-deserved causes both in the UK and abroad. This we do by funding advances in veterinary science as well as supporting charities committed to animal welfare. The circumstances of the animals they help vary greatly. Some are at risk, mistreated or abandoned. O

thers are being trained to enhance the lives of the elderly or sick, such as therapy pets. We have helped over 300 charities. To date, we have awarded grants totalling almost £16m. We are proud to support not only the big organisations but the smaller outfits operating with perhaps just a handful of dedicated volunteers. What we all share is our passion for animals and our commitment to making a difference. Funding comes from the generosity of pet owners like you, who can opt to give a small donation to the Trust when they take out or renew their policy with Petplan. We also welcome additional donations. Petplan Charitable Trust, a registered charity (number 1199327) and our registered address is Great West House GW2, Great West Road, Brentford TW8 9DX. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a data controller (number Z9758227).

Advice from Dr. James Greenwood - "always allow your pet time and space to unwind from a veterinary appointment at home, don't overcrowd them immediately after." 🐱🐰🐶

Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) and their equines deliver life-changing experiences for disabled people and those living with long term conditions, helping them to experience freedom, feel valued and the chance to live fulfilling lives.

RDA has been working to further strengthen equine welfare practices in line with British Equestrian’s Charter for the Horse. A Petplan Charitable Trust grant has allowed them to develop a programme of follow-on activities designed to reach and benefit the wider coaching community.

These grants are made possible thanks to your donations and Petplan UK customers who opt in to support the Trust’s work.

Calls of concern for equine welfare are abundant as ever, so we were thrilled to be able to support HAPPA - Horse & Pony Protection Association.

A grant from Petplan Charitable Trust enabled them to purchase a new equine trailer. This has also allowed them to repurpose their old trailer to transport penning equipment, as well as continue to provide care to the equines in their care.

These grants are made possible thanks to your donations and Petplan UK customers who opt in to support the Trust’s work.

Street Paws stands up for people and pets facing homelessness.

That often means educating local authorities, hostels, support services, and pet owners. A Petplan grant enables Street Paws to continue their work.

“The donation will make a huge difference to the quality of pet education we can provide”
