World Thinking Day 2026

An incredible weekend filled with fun, laughter and most importantly friendship. We spent the weekend with about 500 participants. From Rainbows to Trefoil Guild we got to celebrate with everyone.
Our volunteers loved doing activites from the WAGGGS World Thinking Day activity pack. The participants loved seeing how the activities were suitable for all ages.

One of the Trefoil Guild members commended the volunteers on their amazing work and how they managed to make everyone feel welcome and that sense of friendship, no matter their age.

We would like to thank all the participants for attendind and making the Thinking Day weekend even more special.

Meet Alinah, our Autumn/Winter volunteer from Lesotho. She will be with us from November 2025 to March 2026. πŸ˜ƒ

Alinah is a fun and adventurous and has selected a few items that best represent her and what she loves to do. Let's dive into them!🌞

Girl Guide Scarf
It represents my identity, belonging as well as leadership in the Lesotho Girl Guides Association (LGGA). It also makes me stand out in a place full of people.

My Country's Flag
This is my symbol of pride and identity becasue it shows that I am a proud Mosotho young leader representing my country in both national and international Guiding spaces. It also represents unity an belonging and connects my Guiding story to the LGGA and global WAGGGS family.
The colours meaning
Blue represents peace and rain which links it to my SDG 6 work on clean water and sanitation.
White is for purity
Green stands for prosperity and the land which connects it to my climate change and sustainablitiy focus as the 2022 Girl Led Action on Climate Change Advocacy Champion.

My Camera
It represents my creativity and stortytelling through photography, videos and inspire offers to join Girl Guiding because I document every memory and capture everything which I do related to Girl Guiding.

Water Bottle
It represents my commitment to SDG 6 (Clean water and sanitation) as I recently carried out a project on SDG 6 at one of the local communities in Lesotho.

My Phone
I love listening to music and being updated on whatever is hapening around the world, so this device just makes it easier for me to keep up with anything trendy

We are excited to have Alinah volunteer with us and can't wait to see what other adventures she goes on in the future!
