As one of five World Centres of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), Pax Lodge is "a place where strangers soon are friends". The centre is situated in Hampstead, North London, next door to the WAGGGS' international HQ. Pax Lodge offers scheduled programmes and events throughout the year. All of our programmes involve exploring other cultures, learning about international

Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting and discovering London. We also discuss many of WAGGGS' global objectives and projects. In addition to our scheduled programmes, we offer:

* Hostel accommodation for everybody.
* Tailored programmes for Guiding/Scouting groups (email [email protected] for details).
* Daytime and evening activities.
* Booked in advance dinners for 30 people or more.
* Conference room facilities available for hire.

Blanket
My badge blanket shows my time in Guiding and all of the badges I have earnt.

Sewing kit
My mini sewing kit shows my creative side and links to cosutem design. It is also in a WSL which I collect stickers for!

Capybara
My favourite animal is a capybara. This is Cathy the capybara 🐾

Watercolours
My watercolours show my aim to improve in design work and staying creative.

Book
I love to read and my current read is Lioness by Beth Mead. I'm a supporter of women's football so it is a very good read!

Another Sophie! Sophie joins us from Canada and has selected the following items to share:

The sneaker is to represent my love for adventure and being outside. I love going on walks and hikes.

The book represents my interest in literature and storytelling. I study English in university and love learning about how stories reflect and shape our culture.

The yarn is for my creative hobbies. Whether it be cross-stitching, sewing badges on my Guide blanket, knitting, or crocheting, I enjoy spending my free time working on a new project.

The notebook and pen represent my love for writing. I am always trying to write more, whether it be in my journal, an academic essay, or creative writing.

Congratulations to JTL participants from 61st UK independent group Girl Guides of Canada on their Canada Cord for Pathfinders and Gold award for Rangers. Thank you for sharing this special moment with us!

The gold award is the culmination of a Ranger’s work as a youth member. The award recognises outstanding achievement and commitment to the vision, mission and values of Girl Guides of Canada.

The Canada Cord can be earned by Pathfinders. It encourages girls to meet new people, learn more about themselves and their abilities, and puts their leadership skills into action.

Say hi to Sofi, a volunteer from Mexico. She has shared some of her favourite items:

My hiking boots are my favourite thing ever! I love hiking in a whimsical, not athletic way 🥾🍃🦋🐛🍄

I love Moomin and stuffed animals, even more when they are soft

My favourite fruit is a tomato 🍅I love to eat them in every presentation and my dream is to have a tomato garden at home.

My Sylvanian Families travel with me everywhere; James (the rabbit 🐰) and Oliver (the deer 🦌) are our babies. I co-parent them with my co-leader back home, Karla! They've been on multiple Guiding adventures (that's why they're dirty) 💞
