Another incredible event in the books! We had a fantastic time at the Squires Garden Centre Shepperton annual Rose Show, celebrating with their special 90th-year rose. Our ‘guess the flowers on the flower wall’ game was a huge hit, and we loved hearing everyone's guesses! Big congratulations to our lucky winner who took home a £90 gift card AND the beautiful ‘90’ rose! 🎉

A massive shoutout to our amazing young volunteers, Millie and Tamzin, who did an absolutely stellar job manning the stall. We couldn’t have done it without you both—thank you for all your hard work for our cause! ❤️

On Tuesday night we hosted the Families Thriving Together Marathon Runners reveal for the London Marathon 2027! The evening's event was held 4 Thurstone, Shepperton, with superb food served by Sokol and his team.

Alumni runners , , and were treated to a dinner as a thanks to all their efforts! And 2027 runners were revealed as... Joanne, Tom and - who inspired us by telling us his parenting story and how our nuturing programme alongside running changed his life! ⭐

On Thursday 18th Trustee and volunteers Maya and Louise attended Squires 90th Anniversary Charity Raffle supporting Families Thriving Together. It was an excellent evening featuring some lovely prizes donated by Squires £90 gift card, afternoon tea and some amazing plants of course!

A big thank you to Squires for hosting the event and all your support, as well as the lovely trustees and volunteers present that evening!

At Families Thriving Together, we continue to nurture and support more than 50 parents/carers each week who are attending our programmes.

Support provided includes:
- Managing conflict with co-parenting
- Thinking about empathy
- Enhancing listening skills.. as well as practical strategies such as choices and consequences, active ignoring and communicating clearly using “I” Statements.

One parent told us “Since attending, I have started to feel less overwhelmed and instead we are all enjoying family life. This feels amazing and is such a positive place to be in."

Families Thriving Together were delighted to attend Runnymede and Spelthorne’s Volunteer Awards hosted by Royal Holloway! Our trustee was even nominated for Fundraiser of the Year Award!! Well what a week. The London Marathon Sunday saw Families Thriving Together represented by 5 runners. We are beyond proud of them all and it was wonderful to be there, soak up the incredible atmosphere and importantly cheer on our strong and resilient runners. Thank you to , , , and of course our fundraising trustee and marathon runner . We are proud to know you all. Thank you.

The week has continued on a high with 6 new programmes starting including 3 Nurturing Programmes, 1 Keeping Your Child in Mind and 2 Talking Teens programmes – phew! That’s nearly 100 parents/carers being supported in just one week! We are grateful to those that attend and want to support their families the best they can and we are grateful to our passionate and caring facilitators, Carey, Sue, Karen, Teresa, Amy, Karmal & Katie – thank you all 😊

Michelle is off to train practitioners to deliver the programmes in the next two weeks – more amazing facilitators means more support to parents & carers. Win win 😊

On Saturday, one of our marathon runners hosted an Immersive Rocky Horror Picture Show event in collaboration with to raise money for Families Thriving Together! What a lovely evening with lots of fun and laughter! A big thank you to Rachel and everyone involved at for such a wonderful and fun event!!
