Well what a week. The London Marathon Sunday saw Families Thriving Together represented by 5 runners. We are beyond proud of them all and it was wonderful to be there, soak up the incredible atmosphere and importantly cheer on our strong and resilient runners. Thank you to , , , and of course our fundraising trustee and marathon runner . We are proud to know you all. Thank you.

The week has continued on a high with 6 new programmes starting including 3 Nurturing Programmes, 1 Keeping Your Child in Mind and 2 Talking Teens programmes – phew! That’s nearly 100 parents/carers being supported in just one week! We are grateful to those that attend and want to support their families the best they can and we are grateful to our passionate and caring facilitators, Carey, Sue, Karen, Teresa, Amy, Karmal & Katie – thank you all 😊

Michelle is off to train practitioners to deliver the programmes in the next two weeks – more amazing facilitators means more support to parents & carers. Win win 😊

"I think, I came originally wanting the magic play book."

Meet Annie. Like many of us, she joined our Parenting Programme looking for a set of rules to make everything "click." But through her journey with us, she discovered something much more powerful than a playbook: the power of her own perspective.

We asked Annie to share the top three things she’s taken away from her time with Families Thriving Together. Her story is a beautiful reminder that when we grow as parents, our whole family thrives.

Here is her story..

FTT Weekly Update:
Another 4 programmes delivered this week including our Welcome to the World antenatal programme, 2 of our Nurturing Programmes and 1 of our Parenting Puzzle Workshops for those parenting under 5’s. Phew. Its been wonderful to see so many incredible parents and carers engage and particularly with us coming to the end of the 10-week nurturing programmes, seeing and hearing from them the changes and the impact these programmes are having on their family life is pure gold.

Families Thriving Together have been busy behind the scenes too. presented the charity to Family Centre Surrey Heath this week. We are currently partnering with Surrey Family Centres : Surrey Barnardos Family Centres and it was wonderful to hear the positive impact this partnership is bringing to local parents and carers.

Michelle and were invited by the Chair of , Tim Hall, to for a Surrey network event. We met many new faces, made connections and enjoyed the delights of Denbies. On the theme of events, Michelle and Alison also attended The Mayor of Spelthorne’s afternoon teas hosted by Colin Squire and his team at Squire's Shepperton | Free Parking |

An incredible talk by Pauline Miller-Brown of reStart - Rebuilding lives. Starting futures. Resettlement support for ex-offenders.was given via Home - The Fore today. What an inspiring story behind listening to our service users and acting on what their needs are and cutting through the red tape to ensure the mission is met. Thank you Pauline and your team for all you do.

Of course in between all this, plans are in place for 11 programmes that will be delivered by us between April – July…A busy Summer ahead. Thank you to all our supporters. If you want to know more, or feel your company can support us with resources, time or sponsorship, please do reach out. All this is possible thanks to supporters, donors, commissioners, fundraisers and our valuable corporate sponsors.

Coming back shouldn't feel like a chore.
Reaching out for help for the first time can be the hardest part. That’s why our facilitators prioritise kindness and support above all else.

We asked a parent what makes our charity accessible to them, and they hit the nail on the head: "The supportive nature of the facilitators made me want to go back."

We’re here for you, and we’re so glad you’re here with us.

along with Trustees, , & ruth and our partners attended The Mayor of Spelthorne, Councillor Doran, annual Soiree at London Irish site Hazelwood in Sunbury. What a great night. Plenty of time to mingle with other charities, an auction by Leader of Spelthorne Council, Councillor Sexton, a raffle and a photo booth. Mayor joined us for a photobomb at the booth!

Families Thriving Together are honoured to be one of The Mayors charities for 2025/2026. Thank you.

In other news, Michelle attended a big event in aid of at The National Geographical Society, Kensington. This 'How to Own the Room' event was hosted by the incredible . Viv really inspires you to be yourself, stand tall and remember your ‘ABC’s’ – Audience, Body, Clarity. Thanks Viv for lifting everyone up and creating magic in the room.

We continue to support parents/carers through our programmes, the attendance and engagement has been wonderful and we are always humbled by the Mums, Dads, Grandparents, Foster carers, Kinship carers, aunts, friends and more that all contribute to our programmes.
