His barbershop burned down after he had worked hard to open it, so he returned to square one… but this time with greater experience and skills.
He told our team: “I left school after my father passed away in order to support my family, and I worked several jobs in the market.
One day, I accompanied my mother to Al-Ayn to receive the monthly stipend, and there I learned about the vocational training centre and the workshops it offers. I chose the barbering workshop, and after 35 days of practical training, I graduated and began practicing the profession by renting a chair in a barbershop.
After gaining experience and saving a small amount of capital, I opened my own shop.
But…
An unfortunate fire incident consumed everything including the equipment and tools. And nothing remained except my experience and skills, which are the foundation of my work.
I did not give up, so I returned to working by renting a chair again, and today I am planning to open a project even bigger than before.”
