Many of our branch members are mourning the loss of friend and colleague Andrew Evans.

He had worked at the BBC for more than 30 years and was producer of BBC Radio Leeds' breakfast show.

Andy was a long-standing member of the NUJ - and his beloved dog Olive had been known to join him on picket lines.

Our thoughts are with his wife, sons, family, friends and colleagues.

The journalist, who died on Sunday, is described as a "natural in every way" by colleagues.
