After much prayer and fasting, Woolwich Central Baptist Church has overwhelmingly chosen Elder Michael Ehiabor as Church Secretary and Dr Valerie Ademisoye as Church Treasurer.
Throughout this process, we recognised in them the godly qualities of deacons described in 1 Timothy 3:8–13 — people of character, integrity, faith and commitment to the work of God.
The entire church is behind Michael and Valerie, and we wish them every blessing as they take on these responsibilities.
This marks an exciting new chapter for Woolwich Central Baptist Church — one of growth, unity, service, dedication to the Gospel and all the work that entails.
We are a multicultural church, with people from different nations, cultures, generations and backgrounds. But beneath all that diversity is one very specific monoculture that underpins everything we do:
We speak love (agape) here. ❤️
That is the culture we want everyone who walks through our doors to experience. A family-like church where people are welcomed, valued and encouraged to serve God together.
Please join me in congratulating Elder Michael Ehiabor and Dr Valerie Ademisoye, and continue to pray for Woolwich Central Baptist Church.
Pray that the work God has started among us continues. Pray for the momentum. Pray for our family-like culture. Pray for our unity. Pray for our leaders. Pray for our dedication to the Gospel and to serving our community. May it all continue to grow in leaps and bounds, for the glory of God.
And We warmly invite you to join us this Sunday at Woolwich Central Baptist Church. Come and worship with us, meet the family and be part of what God is doing as we continue this work together.
Congratulations, Michael and Valerie. And onward, WCBC! 🙏🏾❤️
