A great opportunity for anyone looking to further their conducting skills this summer.

We are welcoming applications for our RPS Conductors Summer course, for UK-based conductors looking to further their skills and confidence on the podium. With dedicated coaching from Alice Farnham, the course takes place in central London from 12-14 August, and applications are open until 10am on Wednesday 17 June.

We are pleased to receive applications from conductors at a sufficiently high level who – through their lived experience, background or personal characteristics – have encountered barriers to progress or limited access to an experience like this.

Head to our website to read our guidelines and find out more about the course, whether you’re eligible, and how to apply: https://royalphilharmonicsociety.org.uk/performers/rps-conductors-programme/london-2026-course

We had a wonderful day of singing, new repertoire and networking on Saturday in the cool of St Mary-at-Hill Church in the heart of the City of London. Conductor Neil Ferris did a fabulous job leading us through of a wide range of Jonathan Dove's choral works, including The Passing of the Year, Seek him that maketh the Seven Stars, and the Missa Brevis, and we were privileged to have the composer with us, for a unique insight into his compositions and the chance to chat with him. A very special day!

Next Saturday, join us to sing the music of Jonathan Dove with Neil Ferris!

We're thrilled that Jonathan Dove himself will also be attending the day to give insight into his works. We'll be exploring some of his most well-known choral works - Seek him that maketh the seven stars & his Missa Brevis, as well as introducing some new works too. This is an unmissable opportunity for choir leaders and singers to discover Jonathan's works first-hand and chat with him.

🎶Join us a week from now to sing the music of Jonathan Dove with Neil Ferris!

📆Saturday 30 May 10.30am - 4.30pm
📍 St Mary at Hill Church, London EC3R 8EB
🎟️ £40 pp, £35 for group bookings of 6 or more
20% discount for abcd members, £20 (accompanied students and under 18s)

Spend the day in the historic setting of St Mary at Hill Church in the heart of London, exploring some of Jonathan Dove's most well-known choral works and discovering new ones, all under the expert leadership of conductor Neil Ferris and with Jonathan himself on hand to give insight into his works.

St Mary at Hill is a Wren designed church, full of light and space, a lovely space to sing and spend the day in. We're in good musical company - amongst the musicians associated with the church is Thomas Tallis, who was organist there around 1536. Tube stations are just a few minutes' walk away.

An unmissable opportunity for choir leaders and singers to discover Jonathan's works first-hand and chat with him.
