Museum of Homelessness is a multi-award winning museum led by its community. The museum makes tomorrow’s history by building the national collection for homelessness; it takes direct practical action in support of the community; it fights injustice through independent research and campaigning and educates on homelessness by working with artists and creatives to make unforgettable art, exhibitions and events.

🎉IMPORTANT NOTICE

The museum will be closed on Friday 25th September so we can all attend the funeral for our dear Alan Cole who passed away in August.

The funeral is being organised by and will be held at St Martin's Church Gospel Oak from 1pm.

We will gather at the museum at 11am for anyone who wants to go together.

We miss him dearly and we look forward to celebrating his life.

We will reopen as usual to the public on Saturday 26th September.

Another mad busy week of solidarity, nature, museuming, hospitality, community, care & the unexpected.

We welcomed SK Legal legends for Legal rights clinics and workshops as part of StreetsFest 26

We have welcomed hundreds of visitors to the museum including colleagues from Cornwall.

We found wild grapes in the museum garden

We had community birthdays

We have been very happy to have our poet in residence onsite with us all week sharing ukulele workshops, poems and zines.

The Dying Homeless Project team are working very hard on this years findings 💔

We provided rent and deposit for one household through our scheme with

Big up our crew and volunteere who have really worked extra hard this week.

As well as running your friendly little neighbourhood Museum of Homelessness we currently have ongoing specialist safeguarding work operating across two boroughs Westminster and Hackney and we are working with Haringey to find appropriate accomodation with and for people who are sleeping rough in the park.

We are also trying to support dear people who are up against the brutal hostile environment and we can tell you with certainty that the government will never end rough sleeping whilst the Home Office causes this much street homelessness.

Its been a week!
