🎭 Meet the Director! 🎭

Robert Spolander returns to the director’s chair for Cluedo, his 22nd directing role with The Chameleons.

After appearing as Daniel Kaffee in our NODA Award-winning A Few Good Men and directing last year’s NODA Award-winning Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, he’s delighted to be bringing this hilarious whodunnit to the Compass Theatre stage this July.

Robert would like us to make particular mention of his assistant director Louise Ashman and Production Assistant Minal Purohit Robson both of which are trying to admirably keep up with the pace of this crazy show. Want to see what it’s all about? Listen to what he has to say and we’ve popped a handy ticket link in the comments.

🔎 CLUELESS ABOUT WHO’S REALLY BEHIND THE MYSTERY? 🔎

While the Cluedo cast are busy solving the crime, two shadowy figures are creating every creak, crash, bang and suspicious musical sting…

🎹 Charlie Wakely – creating all of the incidental music live throughout the show.

🎭 Den O’Brien – our Foley artist, producing sound effects right before your very ears.

Together they’re responsible for keeping the audience on the edge of their seats… or making them jump out of them entirely.

So here’s the important question:

👇 What sound effect do you think Den is most likely to make during the show? Wrong answers only! 👇

As the dust settles on yesterday’s NODA London Awards, The Chameleons couldn’t be prouder.

We arrived already celebrating three District 9 awards – Best Play (A Few Good Men), Best Pantomime (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs), and Best Performance in a Pantomime for Rachel Spolander’s Queen Narcissa – but there was even more good news to come.

We’re thrilled to announce that Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was awarded the prestigious “It’s Behind You” Award for Best Pantomime across all London societies. An incredible achievement and a testament to everyone involved, as well as the fantastic support we receive from our audiences.

In our 60th Anniversary year, we were also honoured to receive the District Flame Award for A Few Good Men, recognising an inspirational contribution to the pursuit of excellence in theatre. It’s wonderful recognition for all the hard work that goes into bringing ambitious productions to the stage.

Now, with one award-winning season behind us, we’re looking ahead to another bold challenge—this time with plenty more laughs—as Cluedo takes to the stage this July. We can’t wait for you to join us and help write the next chapter.
