Our final Award of the evening, the Outstanding Contribution to Fundraising Award, goes to Ian MacQuillin.

Ian has devoted more than two decades to strengthening fundraising as a respected, ethical profession. Ian MacQuillin has played a significant role in shaping modern fundraising practice, ethics and debate. From leading conversations on self-regulation and face-to-face fundraising to founding Rogare, the sector’s only dedicated fundraising think tank, his work has helped bridge academic research and professional practice.

Widely respected for his leadership in fundraising ethics and thought leadership, Ian has inspired fundraisers around the world to think more critically, communicate with confidence and strengthen the impact of their work.

Next is the Young Fundraiser of the Year Award. We’re incredibly proud to celebrate the passion, creativity, and innovation of all our young fundraisers… their achievements inspire us all.

This year the Award goes to Charlie Blackwell and Ruby Sheffield!

Charlie’s raised over £2800 for MQ Mental Health Research with his challenge ‘help me climb for mental health’.

He set himself a challenge of trekking over 150km through the Alps during the summer of 2025, climbing over 8,850metres which is the equivalent of climbing Mount Everest.

To date, Ruby has raised an extraordinary £16,500. Her dedication, creativity and determination show no sign of slowing, as she continues to raise both vital funds and awareness for the Royal British Legion.
