🙌🏻 We are very excited to announce that our next GREEN DRINKS social evening will be kindly hosted by the brilliant brewing bros at the MUSWELL HILLBILLIES TAPROOM.
💚And guess what … you’re invited!💚
🗓️When: Monday 20th April, 8-10pm
📍Where: Muswell Hillbillies taproom, 4 Avenue Mews, N10 3NP
✨JUST TURN UP✨
🍻Leaving aside the EXCELLENT beers (other drinks available), the cosy venue and the welcoming team, MHB are serious sustainability advocates, working hard to make their business as sustainable as possible, and with a Sustainability Report to prove it; which co-founder Martin Hodgson will be sharing the salient points of on the evening.
He’ll be giving a short talk on how they have managed to create a business that is both sustainable and successful. Which we expect will include them recycling their own bottles, growing their hops in local gardens and creating unrefined, vegan-friendly craft beers, amongst other insights.
🍸It promises to be a fascinating, fun evening with friends over drinks and chats, and we’d love you to be a part of it.
🍺The Muswell Hillbilly story began on Ally Pally Farmers’ Market in 2016, brewing from co-founder Pistol Pete’s cabin. They now have both a brewery and taproom on Avenue Mews, a core menu of 12 brilliantly named craft beers (see Broader than Broadway, Muswell Pils and Down the Colney Hatch Porter); and last year launched a new Social space on Myddleton Rd N22.
🙏🏻 Our HUGE thanks to the MHB boys for so generously opening their doors on a Monday, especially for us! 😍
You’ll ordinarily find it open on Thursdays, Friday evenings, all day Saturday and for ‘Bring Your Own Vinyl’ Sunday afternoons.

SUE HEAP
… is an integrative psychologist, climate activist and a grandmother.
She will speak for the older generation, scared for their young people’s futures and looking to protect it. Drawing on both personal experience of turning her eco-anxiety into action, and her professional background, she will present a critical third perspective to our panel, alongside …
CAROLINE HICKMAN …
Globally recognised, psychosocial researcher in climate change, specialising in the escalating impact on children and young people. She’s also a psychotherapist, a writer and a research fellow at University of Bath. We are very excited to welcome such a luminary to talk for us. Thank you Caroline.
AMY MEEK …
Speaking for and to the younger generation, Amy is an inspiring, extraordinary woman who, with her sister Ella, set up KIDS AGANST PLASTIC when just 10 and 12 years old. It’s now a global charity and Amy has spoken to young people across the world, at TEDx talks, in three Parliaments; and received awards from the PM and from Pride of Britain.
A fascinating, enlightening, empowering, important evening is promised.
Don’t miss it!

❓Are you an Eco-Worrier, an educator, a parent, a grandparent, an activist, a psychology student …? Then this is an opportunity not to be missed …
👏🏻Introducing the second of our EXCEPTIONAL panel of three speakers, each reporting on the growing issue of CLIMATE ANXIETY - particularly amongst young people and children - on Monday 2nd March, 7.30 - 9pm, and online.
🙌🏻We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming CAROLINE HICKMAN to speak: a distinguished climate-aware psychotherapist, writer, research fellow at University of Bath and a globally recognised psychosocial researcher, specialising in eco-anxiety in children and young people. Not least in her 2021 international study of 10,000 children, of which 75% admitted to feeling frightened.
Caroline will bring her vast experience and knowledge on this impact on young people to this important evening, with a Q&A afterwards to answer all your questions.
“To be honest, I would be quite concerned about someone that wasn’t anxious about climate change, it makes absolute sense ... you’ve got climate anxiety because you care about what’s going on in the world.” Caroline Hickman
💚She will join award-winning charity Kids Against Plastic co-founder AMY MEEK, speaking from and to that younger generation about her own experiences of turning anxiety into action, and psychotherapist, activist and worried grandmother, SUE HEAP, speaking for the older generation coping with their own anxieties and supporting their young people.
When: Monday 2nd March 2026, 7.30 - 9pm
Where: Muswell Hill Methodist Church, 28 Pages Lane, N10 1PP
Tickets: FREE | book through the link in our bio | livestream through our YouTube channel: link in our bio.

❓Are you an Eco-Worrier?
Introducing the first of our exceptional panel of speakers, reporting on the growing issue of CLIMATE ANXIETY, particularly amongst young people and children, on Monday 2nd March, 7.30-9pm.
AMY MEEK was one such child, who, with her sister Ella, launched KIDS AGAINST PLASTIC in 2016, when they were just 10 & 12 yo.
The aim was to empower young people to become agents of change on environmental issues, while building skills and confidence for their futures.
It is now a global charity and Amy has spoken to young people around the world, in three parliaments, at TEDx talks, and has won the PM’s Points of Light Award and a Pride of Britain Green Champion Award.
✨She joins a stellar panel of CAROLINE HICKMAN (internationally renowned researcher into the psychosocial impacts of climate change, writer and psychotherapist) and SUE HEAP (integrative psychotherapist, grandmother and climate activist), bringing manifold perspectives, insights and advice for addressing eco-anxiety.
Amy will be focusing on how to turn eco-anxiety into tangible action, as she and her sister did.
🙌🏻An extraordinary, inspiring young woman!
