‼️Another REFUSAL‼️
Land rear of Clarendon House, Wicken Road – 4 houses. UTT/24/0438/FUL

Another piece of good news! UDC officers have refused planning permission for this development on the basis of:

➡️ Countryside harm
➡️ Backland development inconsistent with the linear character of the village
➡️ Unsustainability due to distance from core village facilities of school, shop and post office.

‼️Yet another new application... ‼️

Rear of Clarendon House, Wicken Road (UTT/24/0438/FUL) – 4 houses

KCR would not usually object to a development as small as this but this case raises serious matters of principle, some of which have already been tackled by the S62A Planning Inspector in his decision on the 28 houses at the rear of Eldridge Close. This proposal suggests future additions & sets precedent for all the land behind the linear development already in place.
‼️ comments must be made by 21st March quoting UTT/24/0438/FUL ‼️

🌳 KEEP CLAVERING RURAL - MARCH 2024 UPDATE 🌳

‼️ REFUSED ‼️
Field at rear of Eldridge Close – a S62A application for 28 houses and the Appeal against refusal for 32 houses.

💫 Some very good news! The Planning Inspector at the S62A Hearing has now issued his decision to refuse the 28 house planning application – and for solid reasons that will stand the community in good stead when it comes to fighting other applications and appeals in this part of the village. Keep the pressure on if you feel there is too many developments being on proposed. Your voice makes a difference. 🌲🍃🌳🌾
