Order placed thank you to one of our beautiful supporters who helped us with donating the funds for this purchase.

We are now hoping to buy a tent for a young homeless man who asked us for a tent but we never had any.

Appeal closed ❤️ Can we help someone who really needs us right now?

I’m currently with a gentleman who has been sleeping rough for the past seven years. At times, he’s fortunate enough to get a place on the floor overnight through local connections, but most of the time he is carrying everything he owns with him.

He has numerous bags and belongings, and he’s asked if we can help him get one really large, sturdy backpack so that he can carry everything together a little more safely and easily.

We’ve found a suitable backpack at Argos for £45. We’ve chosen Argos because it means we can simply send him a Click & Collect code, so he can collect it himself.

We’re currently supporting a mum and her three children who are going through an incredibly difficult time.

Her partner left several months ago, and he had always taken care of the household bills and finances. Unfortunately, he also left her with unpaid bills, leaving her suddenly trying to manage the household and provide for three children without the financial support she had relied on.

She has only recently been able to apply for Universal Credit and is currently waiting for help to come through. In the meantime, she has been relying on food banks to get by, but things have become extremely difficult.

She has told us that she has even been using shampoo to wash the children’s school uniforms because she doesn’t have any washing detergent.

We’ve started putting together a wishlist of essential items that could make a real difference to this family. We haven’t had a chance to finish the wishlist yet, but we wanted to share it now in case anyone is able to help.

If you’re able to purchase even one item, no matter how small, it would be hugely appreciated. Every contribution will help take some of the pressure off this mum while she tries to get back on her feet and provide for her children.

❤️ WHEN SOMEONE YOU HELPED COMES BACK TO HELP OTHERS…

Today was a really special reminder of why we do what we do.

Some time ago, we helped a man who was at one of the lowest points in his life. He had no food and was also going through a serious health emergency. At that time, he needed someone to believe in him and give him a helping hand.

Fast forward to today… and look at him now.

He has completely turned his life around, built his own business, and not only has he rebuilt his own life he has continued to give back, again and again.

Today, he used his own resources to provide essential items for a single mum and her children who are moving into a new home this week, helping them with some of the things they need to get started.

But that wasn’t all.

He also provided a large supply of essential hygiene and sanitary items, including:

🩷 Sanitary products
🧼 Hygiene wipes
🧴 Hand sanitiser/hygiene gel
🩲 Clean underwear

These will be distributed to people who are sleeping rough and struggling to access basic hygiene products.

We have also been able to distribute some of these essential items to local primary schools, helping children who are beginning puberty and may otherwise struggle to access the products they need.

This is what community is about.

Sometimes, the person you’re helping today will be the person helping somebody else tomorrow.

A helping hand can change a life. And a changed life can go on to change many more.

To the man who once needed our help and is now helping others we are incredibly proud of you.

❤️ PLEASE HELP A SINGLE DAD & HIS CHILD ❤️

I’m reaching out today to ask for a little help for a single father who is doing everything he can to provide for his child, but is currently struggling to make ends meet.

Right now, they are in need of food and essential toiletries. No parent should have to worry about whether they can put food on the table or provide the basic things their child needs.

I can’t go into the full circumstances behind this situation, but I can say that this family genuinely needs some support right now.

If you’re in a position to help, anything at all would make a difference — whether that’s a small donation, a food shop, toiletries, or simply sharing this post so it reaches someone who can help.
