We are part of Lions Clubs International (founded in 1917) - the worldโ€™s largest service club organization, with:

1) more than 1.4 million members
2) in approximately 46,000 clubs
3) in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world

Sudbury Lions Club was formed in 2000 and had the largest membership in the whole of Europe. We organise various fundraising activities and events

throughout the year for various charities locally and internationally. Some of our donors have included:

1) Cancer Research UK
2) Great Ormond Street Hospital
3) Harefield Hospital
4) Hillingdon Foodbank
5) Medical camps in Gujarat, India

Our biggest Sponsors / Collaborators include:

1) Blue Room Sports Venue (Hatch End)
2) Morrisons Supermarket (Queensbury)
3) Royale Touch Events
4) State Bank of India (Golders Green Branch)

All our members are volunteers, who give up their time to support our cause. Because of this, every single penny we collect for charity goes to needy causes - no admin fees are deducted. We rely on the generosity of the Public and Businesses to donate to our charity directly and/or join us in our fundraising events that we run throughout the year. Proud moment for our Lions family ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’™

Our very own Lion Viren Hindocha carried out an incredible act of service during his visit to Mumbai ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ โ€” distributing 500 food parcels across local slum communities and providing care packages to 75 disadvantaged disabled mothers.

Last Sunday the Lions Club of Sudbury celebrated the vibrant festival of Holi with our amazing guests, friends, and families. ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŽจ

It was a wonderful evening filled with tradition, community spirit, colour, and joy โ€” all while raising funds to support those in need. The energy, laughter, and togetherness truly made it a celebration to remember.

17TH DISTRICT YOUTH CELEBRATION
17th District Youth Celebration for Disadvantaged and Disabled Young People was held on
Sunday 23rd November 2025 at Allum Hall, 2 Allum Lane, Elstree, Herts, WD6 3PJ.
From 1.30pm to 4.30pm
There were 450 places available for 10- to 18+ year-olds and their
carers.
LPJLC decided to sponsor 20 members.
The Co-ordinator for this event was Lion Chetna Desai.
