👑 A Royal visit 👑

Our SSAFA Dorset branch recently joined other charities at the Blandford Corn Exchange to welcome the King and Queen and share an insight into the valuable work of the charity within the local community.

The Branch Chair, Terry Canham and Community Engagement Lead, Eileen Murphy, were joined by Sophie Kotze who spoke about how SSAFA Dorset helped her family through an incredibly challenging time.

Sharing her story with The King, SSAFA’s Patron, Sophie opened up about her daughter’s neurological condition which left her unable to walk and talk aged just three years old. After reaching out to SSAFA, the Kotze family received the vital support they needed, including help securing funding for a home extension, enabling them to provide the right care for their daughter's needs both now and in the future.

Thank you to Their Majesties for continuing to take the time to support the important work SSAFA delivers.
