A disturbing incident was reported early this morning from Dhaka, Bangladesh. At approximately 3:00 a.m. on April 28, 2026, the residence of Rev. Fr. Subas Gomes, located at Nayanagar within the Eugène de Mazenod Catholic Church in Baridhara, was broken into and vandalized.
According to initial reports, the perpetrators gained entry through an office window. Church funds, along with the priest’s passport, national identification card, and other valuable items, were stolen during the incident.
Fr. Gomes was not harmed and is safe, but the incident has deeply unsettled the local faith community. We are hopeful that law enforcing authorities are expected to investigate the matter further.
Members of the community are requesting prayers and support for Fr. Gomes and all those affected during this troubling time.

Dear Members ,

The BCA UK celebrated the 25th Easter gathering and 13th general election on 12th April 2026 at Saint Anthony RC School, East London. The programme began with a family mass, celebrated by Fr Bijoy Chandra Nayak. After the mass, we had an Easter lunch, cultural show, election, and ended with a raffle. The new executive board would like to thank everyone who participated in the programme and made it successful.

Dear Members,
We warmly invite you and your family and friends to join us for our Easter Program on Sunday, 12 April 2026, as we come together to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

This year’s gathering is especially important as it will also include our Annual General Meeting (AGM), during which a new committee will be formed. Your participation and input are highly valued in helping guide the future of BCA UK.
