💔 FINLEY
We are absolutely heartbroken 😿
Little Finley was around 8 weeks old when someone walked away and left him behind. A helpless baby, simply left to suffer.
Late last week, we took Finley in urgently after he was found dumped in a tiny cardboard box by a kind lady.
He wasn’t even properly weaned and didn’t know how to eat proper food. He was a baby who should still have been with his mum, being fed, kept warm and cared for.
Finley was painfully thin and severely underweight. He was suffering from anaemia, riddled with fleas and full of worms. He was incredibly fragile, but initially he seemed to be doing better
Sadly, things suddenly took a devastating turn. Finley deteriorated very quickly and was diagnosed with intussusception, where the bowel folds in on itself and cuts off the blood supply.
Our vets did everything they could — fluids, antibiotics and round-the-clock care. We desperately hoped this little boy would make it. But just two days later, Finley lost his fight. 💔
He simply wasn’t strong enough. His little body had suffered far too much because of pure neglect. Whoever left him should be ashamed of themselves.
He didn’t deserve this. He deserved food. He deserved safety. He deserved someone to love him. Instead, his short little life was filled with suffering.
We are so sorry, Finley. 💔 We wish we could have saved you.
A huge thank you to Finley’s wonderful foster mum, who gave him love, warmth and care when he needed it most. You gave this little boy something he had been cruelly denied — someone who cared. 🖤
Finley’s story is also a heartbreaking reminder of just how quickly a young kitten can deteriorate. They are incredibly fragile, and when they are this young and already so poorly, things can change frighteningly fast.
Sleep peacefully now, beautiful boy. You should have had a whole lifetime ahead of you.
You mattered. You were loved. You will never be forgotten. 🌈
