We believe that dyslexia should not stand as a barrier to success for any person. The Dyslexia Association of London has been in operation since 1972.

Membership is open to individuals, parents, teachers and to all interested in dyslexia. Many celebrities, entrepreneurs and high-performing individuals have overcome their learning difficulties to achieve their goals. We encourage our members to aim high, and offer them resources to unlock their potential through careful promotion of events, support groups and creative opportunities. Members will have access to Adult Dyslexia Support Group meetings and will receive notice of meetings and events.

💙 Did you know? Around 1 in 5 people in the UK are estimated to be neurodivergent.

This Disability Pride Month, it's an important reminder that neurodivergent people—including many with dyslexia—are a significant part of our communities, schools and workplaces.

Disability Pride Month is about celebrating differences, challenging stereotypes and creating a more inclusive society where everyone is valued for who they are.

💙 July is Disability Pride Month.

Disability Pride Month is a time to celebrate the diversity, strengths and achievements of the disabled community, while recognising the importance of inclusion, accessibility and equal opportunities.

For many people, dyslexia is recognised as a disability under equality legislation. It's a reminder that dyslexia is not something to "overcome"—it's a different way of thinking that brings unique perspectives, creativity and problem-solving skills.

This month, we celebrate the strengths of the dyslexic community, challenge misconceptions and continue advocating for a world where everyone can thrive.
