More stability. More freedom. Meet the Thuja. 🚲

The Van Raam Thuja takes a different approach to a traditional trike, with two wheels at the front giving the rider greater stability while keeping a familiar upright riding position.

The front-wheel design also makes the width of the cycle easier to judge as you ride, with practical storage built in between the wheels.

Matt Kennedy, Alex Stebbings, Dean Walker, Ryan Hicks, Joe Cowley and Richard Wightman from are cycling into London Guildhall today in time for the Walking, Wheeling & Cycling Conference.

What an incredible effort from the six riders — 535 km to raise £10,000 for Bikeworks and help more disabled children and young people access cycling.

The money raised will help us expand our specialist cycle fleet, giving more young riders different ways to sit, steer and pedal, with support from our Inclusive Cycling Instructors.

New cycles purchased will become part of Bikeworks’ shared fleet, helping young riders access cycling again and again across our inclusive cycling work.

Join our Cycle Connect team in East London and the City of London 🚲

We’re looking for freelance Cycle Pilots to ride our side-by-side e-assist cycles with passengers across Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and the City of London.

You’ll ride alongside passengers, share conversations and connect people to their neighbourhoods through cycling.

We provide training — you just need to be a confident road cyclist.

🚲 Autumn bookings are now open for free one-to-one cycle training in the City of London.

Whether you’re learning to ride for the first time, returning to cycling after time away or want to develop particular skills, a qualified Bikeworks instructor will tailor the training to you.

Your sessions could cover:

• Starting, stopping and controlling your cycle
• Looking behind and signalling
• Choosing safe road positions
• Navigating junctions and riding on the road
• Skills for everyday journeys

The training is available to anyone who lives, works or studies in the City of London. Each rider can book up to two free two-hour sessions, and cycles are available to borrow.

Shaheer pedalled independently for the first time at our All Ability Club. 🚲

Shaheer has spina bifida andкому uses a holdersJenníomhlich wheelchair. When he joined one of our additional summer sessions, our instructors worked with him to find the right cycle: a Tomcat Dragonfly.

Cycling is now a regular part of his week. He looks forward to getting outside, exercising, having fun and enjoying the freedom of cycling.

In our 20th year, we believe no child should be left behind. All children should experience the freedom and joy of cycling.

Tuesday mornings in Victoria Park are for women riding together 🚲

September dates are now open for booking, with limited spaces available.

Join Bikeworks and Cycle Sisters for FREE weekly women-only cycle sessions. Whether you are learning to ride, returning after time away or already cycling regularly, you can develop your skills at your own pace and enjoy riding alongside other women.

Open to women aged 16+ who live, work or study in Tower Hamlets. All riding levels are welcome — come on your own or book with a friend.

🚲 Tower Hamlets residents — Cycle Connect can collect you from home.

Cycle Connect provides supported local journeys for older residents, Disabled people, people living with long-term health conditions and people experiencing isolation.

If cycling or getting out independently is difficult, a trained Bikeworks Cycle Pilot will collect you on our four-seater, side-by-side e-assist cycle and travel with you to where you want to go.

💬 Or simply enjoy some fresh air and conversation

There is space for up to three passengers, so you can travel with a carer, friend or family member too.

A Cycle Connect ride is about more than getting from A to B. It is a chance to be active, reconnect with familiar places and feel part of local life.
