As part of our 60th anniversary celebrations, we asked some of our wonderful staff some fun questions about their time working here at jLiving - many of them have been with us for over 20 years!
Gilda, the PA to our Chief Executive, (pictured below) is a valued member of our staff - she's been here for 26 years! Here are her answers to our questions:
1. In 2026 how long have you worked for jLiving? '26 years this year …. Does that mean I am a jLiving millennial!!!!'
2. What do you enjoy most about working here? 'The people I work with …… we have a great team and we all get on well.'
3. How has jLiving supported your growth, learning, or success? 'We have regular training, appropriate to our role and the work we do.'
4. If you were describing our organisation to a friend, what would you say and why? 'It is what it says “on the tin” – it’s a GREAT PLACE TO WORK !!! That is why we were awarded this certification.'
5. What’s the funniest or most memorable moment you’ve had at work? 'When one of our tenants who was a tiny lady, about 4’ 8” and very slim, sat on the toilet seat and fell in bottom first – leaving her hands and legs dangling over the edges of the loo. She was literally stuck inside the loo but fortunately she was rescued by an astute Housing Manager who came into her flat to do a check on her – and rescued her!'
