A heartfelt thank you to Royal British Legion British Legion and to Asda, the team at Op Nova and the Department for Work and Pensions DWP Forces champions who have been incredible as always to help vulnerable veterans in need of housing 🇬🇧

Below is a quick brief on one of our new microhubs that come under Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council

This is for veterans that we're homeless or in need of housing & support. Given Christmas is just around the corner we have been working around the clock for these to be finished in time.

Part 1 is already posted and Part 3 of the entire hub will be posted tomorrow.

Thank you everyone for all your support and continued help and my apologies for below, I look absolutely shattered, we all are!

Whatever it takes 🇬🇧

Quick update on Veteran Housing Group

Recently we sat with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council directorate to discuss the plan on how VHG is mobilising within the district with a plan to place approximately 50 veterans in need of housing, support and transition services by June 2026.

The directorate were incredible! 🇬🇧

Extremely supportive of veterans and VHGs model which in turn is tailored to become a central pathway for veteran needs and wants in relation to not just housing, but care support services, training, employment and moving on accommodations supporting the local authority, charities, communities and local businesses.

One thing is for sure, the veteran housing needs and support services in Solihull will never become a problem for generations to come.

Streamline the service, manage the pathways centrally and go above a beyond to give our veterans both a personal and relatable professional service.

Its what's needed and necessary.

Thank you Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council and fellow veteran MPs Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst MP and Sir Andrew Mitchell who's help and support has been instrumental.

Speaks volumes when others would rather refer to our organisations instead of the governments intended funding option. We have no ill feeling toward Op Fortitude but we do not work with them or have any intentions to. One of the current challenges is, many veterans that are housed through Fortitude end up in sub standard accommodation, with no care support or entrapped by landlords. They are then being referred onto us to provide the correct standard of housing, care and support required 🇬🇧

Councillor Alan Feeney never stops!... A good man full of passion and commitment to support a wonderful cause, every little helps no matter what the gesture 🇬🇧

Hi friends. The amazing Veteran Housing Group became my 1000th follower and, as promised, I made a donation of £50 to the Royal British Legion to mark the milestone.

It was great to see Mick from the Shard End branch again (he sorted the wreath I'm laying on Sunday at The Green) as well as George from the Royal Naval Association (behind the camera).

These guys do truly incredible work, so please head down to Morrisons and support them.

Lot's happening and wonderful feedback 🇬🇧
