Paddy Fun Run features in the Irish Post this week - who made it in?!

We were delighted to welcome the SPAT runners into the Paddy Fun Run last weekend - well done to all of the team for completing their first 10k run!

With help from New Horizon Youth Centre, SPAT was created - a non-profit organisation that uses the power and beauty of running, fitness and nutrition as the motivation behind life changing charity work. SPAT was also formed to challenge and alter the cruel and sometimes ignorant perceptions currently held amongst society towards those less fortunate.

"Young homeless people often lack confidence, motivation and a sense of purpose which negatively affects their mental health" says Dr Alex Dregan, Lecturer in Translational Epidemiology and Public Health. "Exercise represents a key component of lifestyle intervention and would help the homeless community to install a positive/motivational mindset, a potentially effective way to support their rehabilitation."

Massive thanks to everyone who ran yesterday and came to the after party! We are immensely grateful to each and every one of you for supporting our fundraiser. Loads of money was raised for both charities and we'll email everyone who participated with an update in the next week.

This ticket is for the post run festivities complete with DJ and late bar at the Doodle Bar in Battersea. Following on from the success of last years summer bash I think we can expect a great event followed by an even better party in to the early hours! This year we are raising money for two fantast...
