Happy Birthday to Shericka Jackson!

Born on 16 July 1994 in St. Ann, Shericka Jackson has cemented her place among Jamaica's greatest sprinters. A proud past student of Vere Technical High School and graduate of the University of Technology (UTech), Jamaica, she has become one of the most decorated athletes of her generation.

Widely regarded as the second-fastest woman in history over 200 metres, Shericka owns five of the ten fastest 200m performances ever recorded.

After beginning her international career in the 400m and relays, she successfully transitioned to the 100m and 200m in 2021. Since then, she has won Olympic gold in the 4x100m relay, Olympic bronze in the 100m, and captured back-to-back World Championship titles in the 200m in Eugene (2022) and Budapest (2023), along with multiple silver medals in the 100m and 4x100m relay.
