Strategic Litigation | Iyiola Olafimihan introduces Inclusive Education tools

What if the courts could help create a more Inclusive Education system? How can strategic litigation challenge injustice, advance human rights, and create lasting social change?

In this video, Iyiola Olafimihan, Campaigns and Justice Lead, introduces ALLFIE’s new Strategic Litigation resource. This explores how strategic litigation can be used as a tool in campaigning for Inclusive Education, and promoting the rights of Disabled people to Inclusive Education in mainstream schools. Introducing our Strategic Litigation resource!

In 2025, ALLFIE hosted a six-part online workshop series, delivered by Systemic Justice, on strategic litigation, exploring how the law and the courts can be used alongside campaigning to advance Disabled people’s right to Inclusive Education in mainstream schools.

Strategic litigation means campaigners can bring cases to court to achieve broader societal changes beyond just winning the case. The aim is to use the law to advance human rights and foster social change.

The series was designed to give participants information and practical insights into strategic litigation, including how the courts have been used to support campaigns for racial, social, economic and Inclusive Education justice, and how legal action can complement wider campaigning efforts for systemic change.
